The New Formula Is A Waste Of Money

I have used Bigen oriental black in a glass bottle for the past 20 years and recently stopped using Bigen due to a new formula in a plastic bottle. The texture is so different from the old formula, I wish to see the original Bigen back again, Is there any chance to get the old formula back again? Thank you, this is a concern, and I hope the company will consider its original formula again.

I used this dye as a teen and went to go back because other dyes aren't taking to untreated roots, this was the only one that worked on my natural hair. It is no longer made in Japan but Indonesia and is now in a plastic bottle. I trust the original but am hesitant to even try the new version. It's my understanding, and misfortune that this was a recent change.

I've used Just For Men for many long years the cover my gray Just For Men is very harsh I felt that it was burning my head I felt that it was the chemicals and it would just horrific when I saw Biggins I decided to try this because I felt I couldn't not handled Just For Men any longer as it burned me so bad at times even the beard coloring I didn't know this would be not just Cheaper Than Just For Men non irritating felt good didn't burn my scalp and it was one package that did everything beard and hair I found it to be very gentle and extremely extremely less irritating as a matter of fact there was no irritation at all the only thing I find wrong with the product is not enough stores carry it but I did find it in the Stop & Shop in Butler New Jersey great product keep it up I'm sold on it

I have been using Bigen for at least 15 years now...both the old product and the new one. They both have colored my hair well. Color lasts and barely fades, and my hair always feels and looks healthy. I love Bigen. I used to use Dark Chestnut but now that I am getting older I went a little lighter. I now mix Golden Brown and Copper Brown and I love the results. Especially like that it has no odor and does not hurt my scalp.

Easy to use but it stains my hairline a lot. I used #46 light chestnut on my new growth which is gray but it came out really dark. Which is the lightest brown? I cannot tell from the chart and the name of the shade does not really correlate to the actual shade.

This is my second time using this formula. I thought it was okay . The color does not last long for a permanent color powder. I , too am echoing bring back the old formula. This color only last 2 months for me ..kind of ..Why? Would you all change something that wasn't broken ..that makes no sense. STOP BEING CHEAP.
Changing formula was bad decision

I have used this product for more than 10 years. I could not figure out why the last few times I dyed my natural hair it shedded a lot. Finally I come to the website and the answer is the product has changed. I'm so glad to see the other reviews.

My mom has been using this product since she found it at Sally's and hasn't stopped using it since. She claims it colors her hair well and looks natural, so we will continue buying this product while she is satisfied.

I purchased the Dark Brown #57 at Sally at the recommendation from the sales associate. Came home and checked out video instruction and read the reviews. I made sure to divide my hair into four sections before starting since it seemed time was a factor.. I love the results. I normally use Wella's Demi-permanent hair color but I'm going to see how this goes since it's pretty simple and has great coverage. I do like the way my hair feels after the Wella product but I also use Loreal Wonder Water and it makes my hair feel extra smooth. I didn't feel any tingling on my scalp, the smell wasn't any worse than other color products, and it did turn a weird green that got darker. I left it in about 5 minutes past the recommended time and it does look more black than a dark brown so I think I'll use a medium brown next time and definitely purchase it here, Japanese cosmetic companies have good loyalty and sample programs.

The product definitely has changed. It's not what it used to be. Very disappointed with the news version.

I used Bigen since the 90's the only hair color I used. This is not the same formula I have a really hard time getting the grey's cover not to mention at the first few washes the color starts to go away! If you guys want all your long time customers to keep buying the product like before make sure you keep the same quality.

It is a shame, I have been using this product for over 20 years, now I am looking to replace it with a another brand. The color is no longer permanent and the it leaves my scalp feeling itchy.

I was wondering what happen to Bigen. My hair would stay black for along time. I even told friends & family to use Bigen. Because it was great. Now when I use it. It seems that my Gray hair is back in two-three weeks. If you can go back to what you were using I really would appreciate. I'm not gonna stop using Bigen I just want you to go back to what you were using that's all. I love Bigen and I'm just not gonna break up that fast. So just go back and take out the new and bring back the old and we all shall be happy. Yes new is sometimes good but just not with Bea. You have to keep your ladies happy Bea you just have to. Love you Bea ðŸ'œðŸ'ŽðŸ'œ

I prefer the old formula. Coverage lasted longer. The new one causes my scalp to itch.

I applied this Bigen to my roots about 3 weeks and it faded about a week later. I will no longer buy it. I am going back to the messy Henna two-step. Yes, it has changed.
