Great product but now impossible to get open-have used this for years, but the overkill safety features make it impossible for arthritic hands to open.

We had purchased two Ginger Snap rose bushes and planted them within just a few weeks they lost all their leaves and no longer bloomed. I literally just had stems in the ground. I put this product on it and within 2 weeks I had beautiful new growth on all stems and branches can't wait for the blooms! I then went out and poured it on everything that blooms! This product works.

Cap held on. Does not spread wide enough to be able to unscrew. Had to use knife to cut cap to enable the cap to unscrew. Difficult for women and elderly.

I got all ready to use around my roses, and can NOT get the lid off! There is no way in the world it should be so hard to open. Very frustrating. Done for the day!
1 reply from Customer Care team - 2 years ago
I'm so sorry to hear that. There are two ridge parts that do need to be pressed hard enough to allow the lock tabs to push out and allow the cap to turn. This is a bit easier with two hands. Feel free to give us a call at 1-877-229-3724. We are available Monday-Friday 8:30-5 PM (CDT). James

I love this product. My roses look full and beautiful! They're now approaching the end of their 6 weeks with the product, it's almost the time to apply the product again. It's been raining, and I started seeing holes on the rose petals. I was wondering if I can use the product every 5 weeks to prevent the holes on the petals?
1 reply from Customer Care team - 5 years ago
Excellent! I am so glad that you have had such great results with the product Kammie! We would not recommend applying before the 6 week period as too much fungicide or fertilizer can harm the root system. It may be possible to apply a spray in the meantime such as our 3 in 1 Insect, Disease, & Mite Control spray.
Turned healthy plants yellow

I followed the instructions and treated my roses with this product. Now they all have yellow leaves with green veins. They looked healthy before this application but I had some pests issues I was dealing with and I had hoped this product would solve it. I don’t know what to do to try to fix this. I’ve babied these roses and am pretty disappointed this has happened.
1 reply from Customer Care team - 5 years ago
This is not normal, and definitely not the outcome we’d expect. I can see why you’d be upset, and I’d like to gather more details about how this may have happened. Could you give me a call at 1-877-229-3724? We’re available Monday-Saturday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CT.
Potted plants?

I bought this product and I saw a site on the internet that it wasn't recommended for potted roses. Is that connect? Before I knew this, I went ahead and applied 1 cap full per plant. I hope it won't burn my roses.
1 reply from Customer Care team - 5 years ago
We do not recommend applying this product to potted plants as the fungicide may settle at the bottom and cause root burn. For potted plants you may use either our 12 Month Tree& Shrub Protect & Feed product or our Plant Food Plus Insect Control spikes for insect control and fertilization. For disease control you may want to consider a spray such as our 3 in 1 Insect, Disease & Mite Control spray.
How much to use?

I love this product but can’t figure out how much to use on my large climbing rose, which is almost 10 feet wide. I used two capfuls in the early spring but need to feed again. I don’t want to have to switch to a spray!
1 reply from Customer Care team - 5 years ago
Hello Barb! Unfortunately, we do not recommend applying our rose & flower care systemics to climbing roses as they do absorb differently than other plants and shrubs. We would recommend applying our 3 in 1 Insect, Disease, & Mite Control spray to control listed pests and diseases on climbing plants.

I left my bottle outside where it was subject to rain and moisture that caused the inside labeling to disintegrate and now I don't know how much to use so it's useless to me. Why doesn't your website show anything other than the back label on the container? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to have this information
1 reply from Customer Care team - 5 years ago
I am very sorry that you were not able to find this information on our website. For roses you would use 2 fl. oz. of product in 1 quart of water for each rose plant. For all other ornamental plants and shrubs you will use 1 fl. oz. per foot of height in 1 quart of water. I hope this helps!

Not for little old ladies!

I am a petite 74 year old woman with arthritic hands and I was unable to press hard enough on the sides of the "safety" container cap to open it. I finally went to my garage and used the sharp end of a mason's hammer and a screw driver (and safety glasses) to break off the outer cap. Your packaging is not for little old ladies who grow roses. Shame on you!
1 reply from Customer Care team - 5 years ago
I am very sorry to hear about your difficulty with the cap Harriet. It is not our intention to make the product difficult to use. The EPA does require that our products have a child safe cap. As discussed this morning I will certainly forward your concerns to the appropriate department.
Bayer is number one in rose care for a reason

only caveat is that if you have a real black spot problem you should buy and apply the full-strength Bayer antifungal ("Disease Control"); the much higher concentration of tebuconazole, even if applied systemically instead of sprayed, will be more effective than the "low dose" fungicide mixed in with the fertilizer product.

Thank you for your review Cal! I am glad you have had such great results with the product and certainly appreciate your feedback!

I have bought this product many times and have had great results, but for some reason every rose bush I had got blackspot about 4weeks after my application. It was so bad most of the roses were cut back to nothing. I don't know if anything has changed, but this has never happened when using this product.
