A: Great question! The BISSELL CrossWave 1866 Replacement Vacuum Filter is designed for original CrossWave models like the 1785 series, not for the CrossWave HydroSteam 3518. The HydroSteam models use a different filter style, so this one wouldn’t be compatible.

It’s different quality then the original. Bought it at $10 regular price; it turned black from the first use. Very hard to clean. Trying to buy a third one because I have no choice, and now the “sale price” is $11.89. Come on Target!!

A Needed Backup
I love my Bissell Crosswave and keeping the filter clean will assure a longer lifespan. So, I purchased an additional filter for backup. Upon cleaning my filter and awaiting it to dry before using, a backup filter is needed while the other completely dries. Bissell products are my go to brand when cleaning is my top goal.

Keep it running clean
I underrated the importance of this part to my Crosswave. When I changed it, it really gave the whole cleaning operation a cleaner smell. I'm not sure how often it needs to be replaced, but I liked it.
