A: The sooner you can use your bite away after a bite or sting, the better, but you can use the bite away at any point if you are still experiencing symptoms.

Test this on an adult first, thankfully I did before using in my son. The 3 second button got so hot it burnt my arm in a spot. I even had other adults test it to make sure and they agreed it got very very hot. You definitely won’t feel the itch from a bite or sting you will just feel the burning of your skin.

You woudl have better luck holding apurning match against your skin or stabbing youself with a redd-hot poker. Sure, you might forget about the bug bite because the pain from this device is worse than the original reason. We love being in our backyard, but the bugs love feasting on us more. I thought this would help us deal with the many bites, but it is so painful. I wax my body and I would much rather wax than use this. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I am that person who gets bit the most, and then the bites swell into welts. People are always amazed at how many mosquitos bite me and how terrible my reaction is. This is honestly the best product I have found. It does hurt....yeowsahs it stings! But you get used to it, and it is so worth it. I do have to use it a few times on some bites, but after two days, its all over with. The pain subsides for hours and sometimes for good. It's worth having with me at all times in the summer.

Okay, I ended up getting like 10 mosquito bites on my legs one evening, and went to target the next day to find cream to relive the extreme itch and swelling. I found this tool, and I will just say this tools pain is worth it compared to the constant itchy pain from the bites. I was surprised how painful it was to use… but it’s only a few seconds and kind of feels like the most intense scratch relief feeling when it heats up on the bite. My youngest son took pleasure in using the device on my bites for me, haha. They install felt better after treatment and within 24 hours they are not swollen and only a light pink in color. No itchiness returned. I’m not sure I’ll use this on my kids? Definitely worth it on adults though!

This is my trusty tool and I bring it out every summer. I have had it for at least three seasons and it’s still working on the original batteries. Yes it gets hot, so I don’t think kids would be able to handle it. But on adults it’s amazing. It takes the itching away from bites and drastically decreases healing time because I’m not itching it. I used to just have to use a hair dryer, which was uncomfy and heated other skin, but this zaps just the bite area. Sometimes people see it and think it’s a personal massager 😳 but otherwise a great device.

I had high hopes for this device thinking it would be a more convenient, portable solution than my go-to, which is running burning hot water over the itchy area. However I get large welts and massive swelling around mosquito bites, all of which needs contact with the heat to feel relief. The device only treats a very small circle so I would have to treat the entire area spot-by-spot, which would be time consuming, painful, and still probably miss spots. If your bites are tiny little spots it would probably work, but don't bother if you have more severe reactions.

I use the hot spoon method on my mosquito bites to my amazement it works so great. I have suffered for years so happy to find a way to stop the mosquito bites from moving forward. I went looking for something portable and here it is. some of the reviews people are saying they got a blister well you know if it’s on your inner thigh your inner arm or maybe even your abs and then the skin is thinner so maybe it’s going to burn? Try tapping it each second instead of leaving it on if you’re worried your skin area is the thinner area. I’ll tell you what I would much rather have a blister than a mosquito bite that turns into a cigarette hole burn because I’m that allergic !

Mosquitoes love me, ever since I was a little kid. Most insect repellents for me work, but who remembers to wear it every day? I decided to purchase this and give it a try. Now, I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but this one is literally like burning yourself with a cigarette. It's super hot and painful for like 3 seconds. BUT....it works SO well. After burning yourself a couple of times, the itch is gone! If you have a pretty high pain tolerance, I would say that this is worth it. If not, then maybe try other methods. It worked for me, so I am sticking with it!

Does this thing hurt like heck? Yes. Does it work? Also yes. It’s a personality test, really—you either love it or hate it. If you can withstand the unique sensation—more of a sharp, sustained sting than a burn—then you’ll love this. If you’re squeamish about pain, then maybe look elsewhere. I took this with me to an artist residency in rural Wisconsin in August, aka peak mosquito season. It was a huge hit and got passed around every night at dinner!
