The Black & Decker BDCS40BI 4V MAX Cordless Lithium-Ion Pivoting Screwdriver features a Lithium-Ion battery that is capable of holding a charge up to 18 months. The pivot feature allows access to tight spaces, and the LED light provides better visibility in dark areas. The Universal USB Fast Charger is able to charge five times faster than the competition. It also has a magnetic bit holder so you won't lose any spare bits.

Q: Is the driver speed variable with trigger ? or is it one speed to drive the screw and the same with removing a screw?

Great investment for everyday household projects.
Purchased as a gift. I have used this black and decker screwdriver for around 10 yrs or so. As a women, I like how lightweight and versatile it is. Purchased one for my dad many years ago and he loves it. I just gave to my cousin because when I was helping her assemble furniture she was thrilled with it also. Love that it is rechargeable and years ago I found a large B&D toolkit with hundreds of various small screw and drill bits. I can assemble any type of furniture with any type of screw. Can do small drilling projects. So quick and easy. Highly recommend.

Easy to use
I bought this a couple of months ago and have used it several times. Like the light feature and different handle positions. The only problem was with the bits, they don’t have a flat head bit in the package and 50 percent of the screws are flat head. Has been very annoying and for that reason would not recommend.

I like the screwdriver easy to use. i'm trying to find out if i need to keep it plugged in. the last one I had the battery died. not sure if it because I kept plugged in when not in use. if I leave unplugged, it doesn't have a charge when ready to use. do I need to plug in a certain amount of time before use?

Great Little Tool!
I am a toolaholic, I love tools! I own several heavier duty drills and drivers, but I wanted something for light duty such as replacing electrical outlets and covers. This tool is perfect! The fact that it rotates to a straight position and that is has a built in light add to its usefulness.. I have always had great success with B&D products, tools and lawn and garden.

One of the best hand size power screwdrivers.
I bought this 4-6 years ago and it is going strong. I like the ability to switch to stright driver. Charge last a long time and holds it's charge for a long time.

This is my second one and I echo all the most positive reviews and add a big PLUS! This product delivers everything it claims and I would purchase it as long as it's available. Best feature is the swivel handle which makes it very handy in almost every location I work in. The screwdriver has great power for its size and seldom bogs down.

Poor product
This screwdriver has no adjustable clutch which makes it fairly useless for driving small screws into lightweight materials. After cleaning a birdfeeder I had to be extremely careful not to overdrive the screws during reassembly or I would have ruined the plastic threads. Also, the forward/reverse switch is in such a position that I'm constantly bumping it when using the on/off trigger.

Neat little driver
I picked this little driver up off the clearance table. I can always use an extra. No, it's not my Milwaukee, but is handy when the Milw battery is charging. Nice and grippy adds some extra grip for my arthritic hands. Being able to use the same charger as my phone make it not have to use up another outlet with another wall wart. This may stay around awhile.
