"Natasha Smith's book is a much-needed welcome home to those who have joined the mass exodus of Black women leaving the church in search of other forms of comfort. It is through her words that we remember our Savior sees and cares for us through the grief we carry. May we all remember a day is coming when our Lord will wipe away our tears for good."

This book is necessary!

Black Woman Grief is a must-read for Black women and those who support and hold space for them. Natasha masterfully explores grief through historical, familial, and spiritual lenses, weaving in personal narratives that resonate deeply. As a Black woman, I saw my own experiences reflected in her storytelling. She also sheds light on how systemic injustices compound our collective grief. Most importantly, she offers guidance on healing and the process of ‘growing around grief.’ This book is both powerful and necessary.
