Q: How do you clean this after each use? Do you just rinse it or do you have to wash it in a washing machine? Does it dry fast?

submitted by Lea - 7 years ago
  • A: You can wash it or just rinse it off. It takes quite a while to dry as it's more of a fabric than quick dry material.

submitted byKh - 6 years ago
  • A: I ring it out and throw it in the washing machine, then place it in the dryer. I have been using it for 9 months and it's still in great shape!

    submitted byemily d - 6 years ago
  • A: Simply rinse it off and squeeze any water out by rolling the bath up. Then, if needed you can throw it into the washing machine or put it straight into the dryer. If you don't have a dryer you can use the hang loop on the back to air dry the bath.

submitted byBlooming Bath - 5 years ago
  • A: NOT WELL - it is too thick to properly wring out and it gets water all over. After a few uses it stinks like mildew. Have to wash with a full load or else the machine goes out of balance.

submitted bysan mas - 1 year ago

Q: How does it dry after bath time? do I have to throw it in the washer or let it air dry?

submitted by shopper - 7 years ago
  • A: SUPER HEAVY when wet, it's too thick to properly wring out and it gets water all over. After a few uses it stinks like mildew. Have to wash with a full load or else the machine goes out of balance.

submitted bysan mas - 1 year ago
  • A: It has a tag to hang it out to dry but beware that it's full of water and you need 2 hands to wring it out before moving it otherwise you will have water everywhere!

submitted byKh - 6 years ago
  • A: You can pop it right in the dryer or can let it air dry. We recommend that if you live in a hot humid climate that you use the dryer if possible to completely dry the bath.

submitted byBlooming Bath - 5 years ago

Q: Does it have a drain?

submitted by andrea - 7 years ago
  • A: No drain necessary. The water will drain slowly from the bath.

submitted byBlooming Bath - 5 years ago
  • A: No it doesn't you just have to hang it.

submitted byKh - 6 years ago

Q: Will this work in a farm sink?

submitted by Target Shopper - 7 years ago
  • A: Yes, it can work in a farm sink but your baby will lay much flatter on the bottom of the sink and not be as propped up as they would be in a smaller sink.

submitted byBlooming Bath - 5 years ago
  • A: I tried ours in our farm sink but it didn't work like I had wanted it to. Our farm sink is too big for it as the flower petals don't bunch together like they should in a small normal sink.

submitted byKLB - 7 years ago

Q: Is this good for a newborn or would it be too big?

submitted by Afleetwood - 7 years ago
  • A: I used it with my newborn. She was 7lbs. It worked great and she seemed very comfortable. She enjoys this product very much!

submitted byMountain mamma - 7 years ago
  • A: The Blooming Bath was designed specifically for newborn babies. The flower cushions the baby so that they are very comfortable and safe.

submitted byBlooming Bath - 5 years ago

Q: can you use this in a bath tub

submitted by nicole - 7 years ago
  • A: The Blooming Bath was designed for the sink but for older babies you could use the bath in the tub for extra padding.

submitted byBlooming Bath - 5 years ago
  • A: I suppose you could but it would just lay flat then.

    submitted byMary4011 - 7 years ago

Q: Where is it made? China?

submitted by Shaken - 4 years ago
  • A: Yes, our Blooming Bath is designed in California and made in China.

submitted byBlooming Bath Team - 4 years ago
    Brand expert

Q: can this item be used in a regular bath

submitted by Gigi - 4 years ago
  • A: Our Blooming Bath was designed specifically for a sink. This enables the petals to come together to make a soft supportive nest for the baby while bathing. If used in a tub it would lay flat and only act as a soft cushion.

Q: How thick is this, and is the base the same thickness as the petals?

submitted by lesssweet - 5 years ago
  • A: Our Lotus bath is made of 1.25" soft foam for the entire flower bath.

Q: Could one use this as a bath for a small dog who weighs less than 10lbs? Are the petals or base inflated with air (which could be popped by claws)? Thanks!

submitted by Furbaby Momma - 5 years ago
  • A: Absolutely! This bath is made with foam and anti-slip fabric on the bottom so it should help your dog not slip in the sink or tub.

I received a lotus mat as a gift at my baby shower. I was never planning on bathing my baby in the kitchen sink, so I looked for an alternate use... and this mat is now an integral component of my daughter's babyhood. Basically anytime my baby (currently 16 weeks) is on the floor, she's lying on top of this. We use it for tummy time, playtime, visual tracking, her torticolis stretches, the occasional clothing change, pretty much everything. I've bicycled her legs on it, I've taught her how to grab toys while she lies on it, I've read books to her while we both lie on it. It's machine-washable, but you can also clean it really thoroughly with a burpcloth and maybe a little water. (That's really nice for times when the baby spits up just a little.) I will sing the praises of this mat until my dying day. I love it.

Not worth it

This bath is adorable, however very impractical. It doesn't support the baby at all, it's floppy and the baby can easily get in a dangerous position if your not also holding them. It's really hard to "wring out" all of the water. Each petal needs to be squeezed and the middle. It's quite a lot of effort and then it's still wet and needs to drip dry in the sink for a while to fully dry. It's not easily foldable for storage. So it takes up a bunch of space. And even after careful care, it still retained water and became moldy shortly. It was such a waste of money and time. Just stick with the simple plastic baths.

My newborn hates baths in your typical plastic bath tub so I bought this. It’s so cute and easy to use. Seems way more comfortable for baby! He loves it and actually enjoys baths in this.

Perfect! Way better than a kiddie tub but better with a divided sink

after a kiddie tub for my older kids and remembering the back and knee ache I decided for my new twins to change it up and bathe in the sink and not fool around with soaking wet towels in the basin. this baby bath option has been great so far even in my large single sink. I'm looking forward to replacing it with the double basin sink I think it'll prop the babies up better. when I'm don't I start a laundry load and wring out what I can and toss the whole thing alone with wash cloth and hooded towel in the laundry and it's held up to half a dozen washes already with no signs of wear or tear!

Our 7 week old loves this! We bought it when we discovered our plastic bath didn’t fit in our kitchen sink once we were able to submerge her in water. This is cozy and it protects her from the corners of the sink. She just sits there and leans against it while we bathe her. I love that it’s machine washable AND can go in the dryer so we don’t have to worry about mold or mildew. 10/10 recommend

Provides zero support for bathing a baby in the sink- we use it as a cushion for the drying the baby spot on the counter next to sink- works perfectly for that and is so cute- would get the angelcare bath support for bathing baby! it has also become a cushion as the make shift changing spot. It is good photo op spot for bathtime baby if you have $40 to spare.

This was the worst thing I couldve bought. It has no support so basically if you have a deep sink do not buy it. Also you have to ring it out yourself of water and it holds alot of water. They need to make this product better.

We received this from the hospital, they gave our first baby a bath with it, and we loved it for him. Kept it for when we had our second child and loved it then too! It fit well in our sink and then we would use it in our baby’s tub, we had the munchkin sit & soak tub, until they got too big for it within a few months and just used the baby tub. I really liked it, even tho it does soak up all the water, we could let it sit in our bathroom tub to drain out most of the water and then hanged dried it to dry out some more. We never had a mold issue either like others have had and the material has held up well. It worked well and served it purpose for us and our babies.

We love this bath! I used this with my son and now I’m using one for my daughter. I love that I use it in my kitchen sink so there’s no bending or sitting in the floor. When I’m done with it, I just set it up some to let the water drain out of it, once a lot of it drains out, I ring it out some which came be hard to do but after several uses, it gets easier. I wrap a towel around it and throw it in the dryer. I dont find it any harder to use than any other baby bath which I have used others…plus, I can prop it up flat against the wall in the closet, so it’s out of my way. Highly recommend!

It’s great for a small kitchen sink. My baby loves it and is always comfortable in it. We have been using it since she was a newborn and she is now 5 months. Get it. Worth’s the price and much better than the others in the market. The only complaint i have is that it is a little hard to ring out.
