The BLUE RIDGE 8” Adjustable Wrench is sturdy, with a forged carbon steel head that is corrosion-resistant and designed to provide maximum torque. It’s comfortable, even when applying a lot of pressure, with a rubberized, no-slip handle. It’s well-engineered, with the slide jaw and worm gear making contact in three distinct places for smooth adjustments and a tight vice grip when it gets around a fastener. It’s versatile, secure back nuts or bolts while tightening or loosening front nuts, bolts or screws with a socket wrench or screwdriver. Or use it to tighten or loosen fasteners all by itself. Not sure how this has such good reviews. Every time I tightened it to the correct spot and went to turn what I was opening, the adjustable width got wider so it slid right off. Is there a way to lock it that I’m not seeing? I spent a good hour fiddling with it, sure I was doing something v wrong, but either I got a dud or they are all lousy. Gotta return it.

It doesn’t tighten enough to be useful even when you adjust it. Doesn’t have teeth grip; perhaps my fault for not looking for that in the description but seems like it should be a standard feature? I’m not sure how this got past the test at the factory lol. I recommend passing on this item.
