Q&A(10)

Q: can this be used to grind flaxseed or coffee only?

submitted by eva976 - 3 years ago
  • A: nooooooooooooooooooooo

submitted byur stoopid - 3 years ago
  • A: Yes, flaxseed (and chia seed) grinds fine and evenly in this blade grinder. 1/4 cup takes about 10 seconds. Flaxseed and chia have a lot of fat so some the ground seeds will cling to the inside of the grinder, which will have to be wiped out after each use. I've been grinding both seeds daily for over a year with no signs of blade damage.

  • A: The BISTRO Electric Coffee Grinder is specifically designed for grinding coffee beans only. We do not recommend using it for other items, as this may dull the blades or cause the grinder to malfunction.

Q: Is this grinder good for Turkish coffee which is a very fine grind?

submitted by Nino - 5 months ago
  • A: Thank you for your question! While the BISTRO Electric Blade Grinder can achieve a fairly fine grind, it may take longer or multiple grinding cycles, as blade grinders chop rather than crush the beans. For the ultra-fine consistency needed for Turkish coffee, we recommend one of our conical burr grinders, which use stainless steel burrs for a more precise and consistent grind. We hope this helps!

Q: What is the voltage for this coffee bean grinder? Do I need an adapter or a convertor for Europe?

submitted by Linda - 5 months ago
  • A: Thank you for your question! The nominal voltage for the USA BISTRO Electric Blade Coffee Grinder is 120V. If you plan to use this grinder in Europe or another region with a different voltage standard, you will need a power adapter and possibly a voltage converter to ensure safe operation. Alternatively, we offer European versions of our products designed for the appropriate voltage. Hope this helps!

submitted by kayjaybee - 8 months ago
  • A: Thank you for your question! The noise level of the BISTRO Conical Burr Grinder varies depending on the type and volume of beans being ground. On average, it operates at about 50 dBA with a standard amount of medium roast beans, making it relatively quiet and unlikely to disrupt your morning peace. Hope this helps!

Q: Can you remove the metal cup for washing?

submitted by Alyse - 1 year ago
  • A: No, the grinding cup is not removable. Instead, use a soft, damp cloth to carefully wipe out the cup, being mindful of the blade. Allow the cup to dry completely before the next use by leaving off the cover for the fastest drying.
