Description
Sonoma County. Monterey County. Let us never forget that the cultivation of the hearth is the most important labor of man. When tillage begins, other arts follow. The farmers therefore are the founders of human civilization. Pinot Noir. 40% Santa Barbara County, 36% Sonoma County, 24% Monterey County. Cultivation is the foundation of civilization - and Boen, meaning farm, is a testament to grape growers and their knowhow garnered over generations, my family included. Our farming up and down the coast of California is reflected in our wine, and the three coastal expressions build upon each other for a perfect Pinot Noir; rich berry flavors, baking spice notes, and an enveloping mouthfeel. - Joseph Wagner, Winemaker/Grower.

I'm not a constant wine drinker but I do enjoy a good glass of wine on occasion. My husband and I just had our 25th anniversary so i figured it would be the perfect time. We were both very impressed. This has to be the best red wine I've ever tried. Not at all bitter and just the right amount of sweet. It was very smooth and truly relaxing. It truly is great.
About a week ago I served this wine at a dinner party I hosted in my home. For those who like red wine, they enjoyed it. It has a nice smooth taste. I didnt have that super dry taste. Several people asked where I got this wine.
I don't know much about wine but do enjoy a glass occasionally. Unfortunately this wine was not one I would have again. I like somewhere in the middle of dry and sweet, and this wine was very dry with quite a sharp taste. I opened it with my friend who knows maybe a tiny bit more about wine than me and she agreed with me on the taste. I wanted to like it, and I did like the packaging where you can tap the top with your phone and read about where it comes from. It was also easy to open with a screw top. I will not be getting this wine again, though.
I enjoy a glass of wine every now and then. I was excited to try this red, especially since it had a NFC compatible "behind the scenes" phone scan. Once I made sure the NFC option on my phone was turned on (by following the easy to understand directions that were on the bottle) scanning the "cork" was easy. It quickly brought me to the BOEN website. There I read all kinds of information about BOEN and how they make their wine. This would be an amazing wine to gift someone if you were going to a party, or going for a Holiday and wish to bring something. Not too expensive, yet not something cheap either. With the easy access to the BOEN website, you could even further tell your friends and family all you have learned about the wine, impressing them more. The wine bottle is actually a screw off top, which is great for opening and resealing for later. For a red wine it tastes as it should with hints of a fruity taste here and there. I enjoyed the bottle and can't wait to buy it again for this upcoming holiday season.
I don't drink much alcohol, so I don’t have much experience with wines, but I had the good chance to try Boen Pinot Noir Red Wine and I was surprised, I liked the bottle design and the most interesting thing is that in his bottle cap there is a code to scan on your cellphone and get a lot of information about this and other wines of this brand, very interesting. It's very easy to open, once you open it, comes out an exquisite aroma, its taste is not very sweet but its still delicious, I shared this wine with my husband and we both loved it, we’re thinking of buying more of this and also trying other varieties of Boen. This wine is perfect for any occasion, a daily cup is great to relax and enjoy an excellent taste. This Boen Pinot Noir Red Wine has a 15% of alcohol and his bottle come with 750ml I strongly recommend it
I am not a huge wine person, but I was excited to try this. I thought it was just ok. The flavor was very strong, like it had been fermented for a bit too long, and it was kid of sour, too. I wouldn't recommend drinking it without food, because of the taste.
Surprisingly good. Keep in mind that there are specific shipping and delivery requirements for alcohol! Someone that lives at your address over the age of 21 must be there to sign.
This wine was a very smooth, easy drinking wine. Enjoyable on it's own without food pairing. Loved the rich purple color and delicious cherry flavors. I would buy this again. Great quality for the price.
Perfect taste. Flavored maybe semi sweet. Leaves the best after taste. The cork is even beautiful. The packaging is well made. Pop the cork and pair it with a wonderful itialan meal as I did.
The 2018 Born Pinot Noir comes in an easy open bottle. Once you open the bottle it has a rich aroma followed by great taste. Upon pouring my first glass of Boen Pinot noir I can see that it is thick NOT watered down that's always a plus. My first sip of Pinot noir was smooth, rich and flavorful. Very enjoyable, goes great with dinner or any occasion. I also tried something different with dinner I used a little Pinot Noir in the the pan while sauteing steak tips & let me tell you AMAZING gave the meal that extra flavor and spiced it up so delightful. Will definitely cook with the Born Pinot Noir again. I will absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great smooth tasting wine. The Born Pinot Noir has 14.6% alcohol.
Wow! This is a wonderful medium bodied wine! I loved the hints of cherry, just very mild fruity notes with a hint of smokiness. This was a delicious wine and was loved by every wine drinker at the table!
This wine is pretty good - it is very brute and dry though. I typically like sweet but this one went down well and had me feeling at ease quickly. I was impressed on how nice the bottle looked too!
This was my first time trying Boen wine. The Pinot Noir was tasty, and the berry flavors definitely came through. It wasn't overly sweet, and paired nicely with a steak dinner. The interesting thing was the bottle cap - it has something in it so when you scan it with your phone, it brings up the Boen website and you can interact and see the farm, meet the grower, learn about their other wines, and share photos of you enjoying your Boen wine. It was interesting - I've never seen that before on wine, but I spent about 2 minutes on the site and never went back. The wine itself was tasty enough without the gimmick.
Good product has a great taste. Delicious wine. This is a powerful red wine .I may try other red wines, but I always come back to Pinot Noir. This is the best sweet red wine out there, and the price can't be beat. A touch of sweetness and bright acidity highlights the appeal of this charming wine.Highly recommended.
First I must say just looking at the label and reading about the wine, I was really excited to try it! There was a code on the cap/cork that I could use my QR reader on my Iphone to access more information on the wine which was neat! The wine had a really nice taste to it and was a pleasure to drink! The wine was flavorful and smooth and really had a nice finish to it. My husband and I enjoyed the wine while relaxing on our deck and it was flavorful and nice!
