The best of the best. Wait 5 minutes after brewing to experience the deep cocoa notes. The brew needs to settle a bit in temperature to get the slight bitterness out. If you do that then this is a smooth delicious velvety dark chocolate Grenache that is good on its own or even better paired with other flavored grounds: classic, blueberry, salty siren, etc. This one should be a top staple in your coffee lineup. Interestingly, it is not the best smelling grounds when you open the bag, but it grows on you. However, the real magic is once brewed.. it smells like what I envision Buddy the Elf’s cologne might smell like.

I bought a bag of Army of Dark Chocolate to compare it to Dark Side Truffle. I adore both of them, but Army of Dark Chocolate is winning. Army of Dark Chocolate is a deeper, richer chocolate. Like a classy ganache, it spreads and lingers in your mouth for an impressively long time. Dark Side Truffle is a lighter, more fleeting chocolate, like Halloween candy. Both are very tasty and enjoyable, but Army of Dark Chocolate is just a step above.
