Don't order the Braun Series 9 Pro+ head online. They usually ship the standard Series 9 Pro 94M instead of the Series 9 Pro+ 96M. I do not recommend ordering online from Target.

Braun ENSHITIFICATION over decades?
Dear Braun, I am in my 60s, and I've been a Braun electric razor user for decades. Admittedly, I have a tough beard. I currently own an old Series-5 and three Series-9 (one original, and two of the Sport editions from Costco). The old Series-5 still runs and shaved well; but getting an OEM blade for it is futile. All the Series-9 give a good clean shave when equipped with OEM blades. However, the OEM heads literally fall apart within 6 to 9 months with regular use, even though they are rated for 18 months. I've inspected the failing heads over several OEM replacements. The first to go are the center two hair trimmers blades. They become raised in the head, that is when you know the end is near. My first/original Series-9 is so noisy when running, with or without a blade, that I don't use it any longer to save my hearing. I came hear to worn others. It looks like so many others have already shared the truth. Is the Series-9 a failed design, materials, product? Are the newer Series-5 or Series-7 any different? In my opinion, German engineering and workmanship does not appear to be what it used to be, so sad.

Somewhat Disappointing
Upgraded from Braun 7 to 9+ Pro. The 7 was better than the more expensive 9+ Pro, which did not shave close as quickly, and required more time and effort to shave. Also, most irritatingly, the shaver wash cartridges run much longer than they used to, last far less shaves, and have to be replaced much sooner. When my current 9+ pro wears out, I will either go back to the 7 Series or buy a top-of-the-line Panasonic.

Cheap blades
The blade head that came with the shaver was great. But the replacement suck. Waste of money to by replacement blades. They thought they would save money by selling cheap replacements heads. Wrong, because now I will never by a Braun shaver again. Short term you may have made more money of cheap replacements but in long term you have lost. And when I say cheap not talking about the price talking about the quality of product.

Worse than 3 year old head
My wife purchased this for me in December 2025. I finally started using it in March 2026, replacing my 3+ year old shaver head that was working fine. I am very much disappointed with this new head even though it is supposed to be improved. It takes much longer to shave with this newer head than the previous old head. The quality of shave is not as good either. The edges of the foil appear to be not exactly aligned and as a result it "feels like" it is scratching my face, although there are no actual scratches. I have used Braun shaver for many years and this is the first time I am disappointed. Today, I finally went back to my 3+ year old shaver head that I had yet not discarded - and voila, much better experience again(with the old head)!

Very disappointed with the quality of the shave
I purchased the most expensive Braun Series 9 Pro+ shaver & cleaner system 17 months ago from Walmart & was never satisfied with the closeness of the shave. It would take me up to 15 minutes to complete the job & even with that exorbitant amount of time, my neck area would still be full of straggling hairs. Hoping that a new blade & cutter assembly would help, I ended up purchasing this shaver replacement head. Not only did it make no difference in the closeness of the shave, but I now encountered a new problem. The power button on the shaver stopped working, so it's no longer in usable condition. Out of disgust, I threw the shaver in the garbage & am now forced to purchase a new one. After the above experience I'm leaning toward the Phillips Norelco Prestige Ultra as it has very positive reviews. If Braun sends me a new replacement shaver, I'll give it another try. Since I no longer have the defective one, it's unlikely that they'll do so.

Norelco endorsement
I have used this Series 9 for 4 years and never got a close shave. My 10 year old Norelco performs better and gives a close shave now as it is my travel razor. From the beginning I have never had a Braun shave that did not require a manual blade to make it smooth. A new head is half the price of a new razor.

Garbage replacement head
Replacement heads are sub standard quality. They don’t last even 3 months. Only the cartridge that comes with first purchase of shaver lasts about a year. 18 months is never going to happen, and with replacements it’s down to 3 months. I’m on 3 series 9 shaver and between those 3 some 8-9 cartridges. But have had enough, no more Braun shavers.

Worst Braun shaver ever
Worst shaver of all I have ever had. I had the series 7 prior and that cut great. Its head broke so I got the series 9 thinking it was an upgrade, turns out it's the worst shaver ever even if you can say it's a shaver. This is the last Braun shaver I will buy. Honestly I don't have time to keep going over and over my face until it is beet red and my arm is tired just to get everything shaved. This shaver would have a difficult time cutting water let alone whiskers. Extremely disappointed Braun left the quality of cut off the list in the directions for this shaver. At least put it in the directions or on the package that is is a long time duration of shave with only a mediocre cut at best..

My beard is very difficult to cut and smooth shaving has been always a challenge. I used Braun shavers for many years, also used Panasonic foil and all Philips Norelco models. At the end and after spending a ton of money (specially with Philips and Panasonic blades), I have decided that there is nothing better than Braun for my personal use. I prefer to shave dry (no water and no cream) and can affirm that I cannot get a better shave than I get with my Braun 9 series. The result is always identical and very good. There is also the money side to this - Braun shaving heads fit all 7, 8 and 9 series and can be used in any position. Comparatively, they cost less than Philips and Panasonic with the same or better performance. So, if you decided to use the latest 9 series Pro plus head on a 7 or 8 series, just go ahead and buy it, it will fit well and you won't be disappointed. My 9 series handle is 8 years old, has been used several thousands times and performs like new. I wish other products were built like my shaver is.

Terrible replacement head
If you are considering purchasing a the S9Pro replacement head, save the money and put it toward a new, non-Braun electric shaver. This replacement head is giving me the worst shaves I have ever had! The original shaver head that came on my shaver was fantastic, but wearing out. As soon as I started using the new head, it was apparent that something was off. It does not mater if you have 1 day stubble or a several day beard, the replacement head WILL NOT shave well! It pulls severely and does not cut much at all. I tried shaving at a few different lengths with the same results: Pulling, irritated skin, and having to follow up with a blade razor to finish the job. I thought I may have just had a bad head, but after diving into it this product is clearly flawed. DO NOT buy this replacement head or an S9Pro until this situation is rectified. This shaver is too expensive for this.

I have been a Braun user for 20 years a 7 ,a9, and now the nine pro. Got pro replacement head and after Three weeks of use it came apart.
