Q: How to change battery

A: Hello! To remove the battery compartment cover, turn it clockwise until the setting indicator points to the 'unlocked' indication. Pull the battery compartment cover off the handle. Put the battery in the battery compartment. Make sure the + and - poles of the battery point in the right direction. The product operates on one disposable 1.5 V AA alkaline battery. Slide the battery compartment cover back onto the handle. Turn the battery compartment cover counterclockwise until the setting indicator points to the 'locked' indication.

Bought this product online, when I received it, I noticed pieces inside the box was rattling. This definitely unusual, so when I opened it, I realized there product was previously used as there was NOSE HAIR on the product!

It is called the Nose Trimmer 3000. At the bottom of the box it says, "Nose, ears & brows." This is a blatant lie. This unit has been expertly designed to NOT cut hair. If you shove it up your nose, it's a tight enough space that you can cut some hair. Anywhere else, this thing just pushes hair around without cutting it. Don't expect to trim anything but nose hair.

Difficult to overstate how much better the old version of this trimmer was. I had mine for 8 years before accidentally dropping and breaking it. This is the replacement model and it is borderline useless—does not get nearly close enough to the skin. The single-headed design of Philips' older model was perfect and did not need a single design "improvement" let alone this useful iteration.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's easy to set up and maintain, and the attachments are easy to use. The small trimmer works well on eyebrows. This one was easy to use and I wasn't concerned about shaving the eyebrows completely off. Using the nose (and apparently ear hair trimmer), was completely pain-free and it did the job. Each piece is very easy to clean and it all packs up in a small bag. Just a single AA battery is required and it came with a Phillips alkaline battery.

Norelco used to sell a different design, with a round, longer, one-sided blade. It was far superior to this, IMO, especially on ears. With this short, flat, two sided blade you can't reach in far enough and you can't tell if it's cutting anything. It's also louder. I'm sad my original Norelco ear/nose trimmer finally broke. This is NOT a good replacement!

We recommend that you try the following suggestions to see if they can help you resolve the issue. Before trimming your nose or ear hair, it's important to make sure that both the product and nasal passages are clean. You don't want dried nasal mucus to block the cutting element and prevent the product from switching on. If there is an eyebrow guard attached to the cutting element, be sure to remove it before trimming nose or ear hair. Once you're ready to start trimming, switch on the product and carefully insert the cutting element into one of your nostrils. Make sure not to insert it too deep into the nostril - the maximum depth is 15/32 in. or 12 mm. Move the cutting element in and out of the nostril in a firm, rotary motion to cut the hairs to a shorter length. Be sure that the cutting teeth touch the hair by rotating the cutting element inside your nostril. You may also hold the flat side of the trimmer against your skin to reduce any tickling effect that might occur. After each use, clean the trimmer thoroughly. You can also use the rotary trimmer to trim hairs in the nostrils. If you want to trim neck hair, refer to the instructions for using the rotary trimmer.
