I've bought several packages of these over the past few months and have really liked having them. It's easier for my little kids to use these than any other method of keeping their toothbrushes clean. I'm very sensitive to scented things and haven't noticed the smell the other reviewers have talked about. All of ours have been scented.

I think the idea is good but the smell! I tried soaking them in soapy Dawn water, then vinegar and water, then Dawn and vinegar water, then ran them through the dishwasher and finally soaked them in baking soda and water. Nothing worked. The smell actually transferred to the other stuff in my dishwasher! I bought 2 packs of 2 for stocking stuffers with new tooth brushes and now am out $12.

Whatever chemicals are used to give this product the "fresh scent" is absolutely horrid, these toothbrush covers smell so disgusting I didn't even use it for our travel because I was afraid it would stink up my luggage/clothes.

I didn't see that is said "Fresh Scent"...try chemical, dangerous scent. I had to throw away the new toothbrush I put it on because the smell permeated the toothbrush. I put the steripod in the dishwasher thinking it had an "out of the box" chemical smell that would wash off...but there was no change. The "fresh scent" is supposed to be there. I can't imagine what chemical is making that awful smell, can't be good for your health. AVOID.

It has a horrible smell. I bought two packs and opened the first one and thought maybe it was a bad batch. Opened the second one same thing. I don’t know why it has 4 stars.
