A: the previous answer is kind of misleading because as it seems the plastic is scent-free (I don’t smell anything from the holders themselves), it does add a flavor to my toothbrush. It’s unpleasant to me and I stopped using after one use.

I was buying a different brand for a while before I noticed these. I actually prefer these over the more expensive ones. They keep your toothbrush covered while you're not using it, protecting it from dust or floating debris that can be found in any bathroom. If you have multiple people using one bathroom, use a sharpie to write their name on the cap. They seem to be out of stock in the store a lot but it's easy to order online and ship to my house. Solid Target brand purchase.

Roomy and easy to use! Fits tongue scraper!
This is reminiscent of a hairclip where you squeeze the side with the spring coil to open the cover. This is so much better than what I thought this would be, which is the traditional snap closure cover that's barely big enough to cover the toothbrush head. There's enough room in there for the bristles to air out, but protective enough to keep other things from touching it and vice versa. It also fit my tongue scraper, I will be buying another!
