Book Synopsis

Liz is a young woman who has struggled with a fractured sense of self. Physical symptoms, intrusive thoughts, and a persistent sense of fear and disconnection have taken over as she struggles to keep pace with the world around her. During the summer, she retreats to her grandmother's house in a small coastal village, hoping that distance, slowness, and anonymity might offer a form of relief--or at least a pause, and perhaps a way back to herself.

Liz's story openly discusses anxiety and mental health--some of the defining yet often unspoken experiences of our time. It speaks to a generation in search of contemporary, empathetic narratives that resonate with those who live with anxiety and offer insight to those seeking to understand and support them.

About the Author

Judit Crehuet is an emerging illustrator with a distinctive, expressive style and a strong contemporary visual language. She trained at ESAD Llotja, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata and Escola JOSO, and was awarded the Carnet Jove Comic Grant in 2021. Judit's work has appeared in the magazine El Jueves, and she has been commissioned to create posters for major cultural events and festivals.
