    Awful

    There is no cookie dough in this product. It's also not ice cream which I realized too late. The taste and texture is awful. What a waste of money. I will not purchase Breyers products going forward knowing this is representative of their quality standards. I only wish I had seen the abundance of reviews complaining of these same issues before I made the mistake of buying it. It's honestly gross, just buy real ice cream from a different brand and save yourself the trouble.

    Missing cookie dough

    Texture, creaminess and taste of the ice cream is fine. But as others said, where are the cookie dough pieces? Basically vanilla ice cream with a hint of cookie dough.

    Cookie dough didn't taste good.... literally ate around them.

    Really disappointed with the cookie dough bits. I don’t know if I just have an unrealistic expectation of what cookie dough should taste like (maybe based on childhood experiences?) but it was so disappointing it wasn’t worth the calories. I ate around them and ended up tossing the cookie dough. Unfortunate not worth it.

    First Ingredient Skim Milk

    The first ingredient listed on my box is SKIM MILK. Then corn syrup. I’ve made ice cream, and I would never use skim milk (despite being a person who drinks it). The taste of the “dairy treat” is pleasant but lacks the richness of actual ice cream. Right next to it in the freezer is a tub of their “natural vanilla ice cream”, and THAT one has actual ice cream ingredients. I wish they would have just used that and added cookie dough.

    Disappointed

    I was so excited for this ice cream, but I was so disappointed! This was some of the worst chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream I’ve ever had! What happened to all the cookie dough? There was absolutely NO cookie dough in the ice cream. It was ice cream and little pieces of chocolate and that was it. There was absolutely.NO AND I MEAN NO COOKIE DOUGH.!!!!! I will not buy this ice cream again! So disappointed in such a waste of money!

    Creamy taste, labels bad

    The flavor of Breyers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is satisfying; the cookie dough chunks and chocolate chips are the best part, and I value that it's made with 100% Grade A milk and cream. However, the ingredients list is disappointing. Natural flavors, soybean oil, mono & diglycerides, sugar, and corn syrup make it feel far from a clean or premium dessert. For the price, I expect better ingredients, and I hope Breyers updates their formula soon. Great taste, but not worth it with these ingredients..

    Really Wanted To Love It....Bit NOPE!

    I don't think I have ever taken the time to review but I felt compelled to do so after purchasing this tub of ice cream. As a lover of cookie dough and Breyers I was excited when I found this...big disappointment. First and foremost there were only like 12 chunks of cookie dough in it and second the flavor and texture were, as the kids would say, not it. Even though we kept it in the deep freezer the kiddoa also complained it melted fast which also took away from its normally creamy texture. Believe all the not so good reviews about this flavour. Save yourself a purchase and either buy somewhere else or stick to just French vanilla. Really wanted to love this, super sad face.

    Terrible what happened to Breyers ice cream

    I used to love Breyers cookie dough. All of their products went down hill over the years. I haven't purchased for sometime. On a 96 degree day I figured I'd give it a shot. The cookie dough was far & few Between the "frozen dairy dessert" is a far cry from the ice cream i remember as a kid. It's sad. Won't purchase again. Id rather pay a few bucks more & get quality product like the used to make. The ingredient list is far from natural like their products used to be. So sad

    Best ice cream

    Are you that person that has to have the bitter sweet small bowl of ice cream everynight before bed? If so this one's for you. It's very melting in your mouth and the chocolate chips add the perfect texture to it.

    Lacking chocolate & cookie dough

    I’ve bought Breyers chocolate chip cookie dough a few times and have been very disappointed! Basically it’s mostly vanilla ice cream! Very very little chocolate chips and cookie dough! I will not buy it anymore because it’s mostly plain vanilla ice cream. I give it a 2 star rating!

    SO BAD.

    Not icecream! It’s. “Frozen dairy dessert”. It’s made with such awful ingredients I ate it and can power through usually most Things but could not with this- I have no idea how they managed to do this but it tasted DRY! I didnt even know icecream could taste dry until now. Breyers went downhill so fast

    Dairy desserts are NOT ice cream.

    I want to preface this review by starting that this might be one of my 1st reviews I've ever given for a product (which alone is saying something). I grew up eating Breyers ice cream. In my adult life, I largely switched to other brands like Ben and Jerry's mostly due to the unique flavors. Recently, however, I tried Breyers cookie dough and was highly disappointed. It just didn't taste like or have the mouth feel of ice cream. I since learned that it's likely because it's a "dairy dessert" and NOT ice cream. I for one liked the fact the Breyers ingredients were simple and recognizable. This experience turned me off from trying more Breyers flavors in the future. Honestly, even if the brand is still producing the original flavors - while navigating to this review I saw that some of your products are still labeled ice cream - I would select a brand that avoids artificial fillers and ingredients added by food chemists.
