Description
The foundation for our Classic Laddie is not a recipe set in stone, but a distilling philosophy. We have no interest in consistency or uniformity, instead – year by year – the variety and provenance of our barley shapes our spirit, and an ever-increasing range of casks are sourced to evolve the suite of flavours in our warehouse. Composing each unique recipe is a rigorous process; Adam must carry a multi-dimensional picture of the sensory potential that surrounds him and systematically evaluate every spirit by nose, taste and mouthfeel. Each batch of the Classic Laddie will, by nature, be unique and subtly different, but it is ultimately our Head Distiller who curates this assemblage of our finest spirits, to showcase the classic, floral and elegant Bruichladdich house style.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good whisky for those that don’t love the peaty flavor of scotch. It has a bit of peat on the nose, slightly fruity and spicy. The initial pallet is slightly smoky, with some heat and fruit very smooth. Bottle is nice looking but blocks the product inside, so depending on if you like to see the whisky inside the bottle or not could be good or bad. Overall very nice

The 750 ml bottle looks different from all the other brands and stands out as single malt Scottish whiskey which tastes great and has a very smooth profile. It goes great straight over ice or mixed. Do your research on this distillery: it has a unique cask selection and uses filtered, color free spring water. Highly recommended!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not really a scotch guy, in fact, I’m not really a connoisseur of anything actually. Take this review for what it’s worth. When I taste this, I taste much less vanilla caramel than other whiskeys. It almost is like I can taste the grain. It’s bright, strong, and almost fruity/fragrant. It’s quite new and young tasting to me as if it’s not been mellowed much. Ok overall, but doubt I’d buy it again.

Simple , elegant designed bottle that demands you take a second look as it is not a typical scotch design. Great value, scotch that has the aroma and flavor profile of a higher end scotch but is a an affordable price point. If you want something a little different than your normal scotch, I’d seek this one out and give it a try.

Upon first opening, it has a nice smell...very sweet, but the sweetness ends there. It does not have any heat to it. Everyone who tried it liked it and enjoyed it. It's a little pricey, however.

It has a great flavor, finishes clean, and is even better with a couple cubes, and a pretty countryside sunset. The bottle casket is nice. It even has a nice stopper ring to prevent just dropping the bottle in, like we all do. I wish I could give a 4.5 instead of only 4 stars. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I generally prefer bourbon or rye to scotch as scotch often bangs you over the head with its smokey peatiness. Not so with the Bruichladdich (brook-LADDIE) Classic Laddie! It’s unpeated, which makes it a great Scotch for those who also favor bourbon. (Look to the Bruichladdich Port Charlotte if you like a peat-forward scotch). I think this would make a great whiskey sour, and it doesn’t hurt that the bottle is also a lovely color.
