Greg Moore who was born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina, one of three sons of NASCAR Hall of Famer Bud Moore. The late Greg Moore was the co-host of Droppin' the Hammer, a weekly three-hour radio show devoted to local and national auto racing news. He lived in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Perry Allen Wood is an investigator for Wells Fargo Bank and a noted racing historian. He has written three other McFarland books on stock car racing, appears weekly on Droppin' the Hammer and lives in Spartanburg.
