About the Book
Scott Pace and Shane Pruitt discuss one of the most important elements of ministry: the calling out of those who have been called to serve in ministry.Book Synopsis
Ministry comes with many weighty responsibilities. Ministry leaders are called to teach, serve, and lead. But in leading those under their care, there comes a moment when they recognize the future leaders under their leadership. With this recognition comes an all too familiar question: What comes next? In Calling Out the Called, Scott Pace and Shane Pruitt answer this question by giving direction, encouragement, and a charge for ministry leaders to recognize the future leaders in their midst and do what needs to be done for the future of ministry: the calling out of the called.Review Quotes
"In recent years the issue of "calling to ministry" has taken something of a backseat. Some dismiss the idea all together. I believe this is a tragic mistake. Knowing you are called by God to a vocation of Christian service can help sustain you through the valleys of ministry that will inevitably come. Further, understanding the nature of ministry can give you the essential mind and heart necessary to endure to the end and finish well. CALLING OUT THE CALLED addresses both of these important issues superbly. It is an excellent work. I will be quick to recommend it for years to come."
--Daniel L. Akin, President, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary
--Kevin Ezell, President, North American Mission Board "I truly believe we are living in the greatest days in the history of Christianity to be alive. There are more people coming to faith in Jesus today on a daily basis than at any other time in human history! And God has birthed His church for such a time as this to join in His activity. We need leaders for the church in this coming generation to join in God's activity of expanding HIs kingdom to cities and nations all over the world. I'm so thankful for Shane Pruitt and Scott Pace and this incredible resource to "call out the called" in this generation to extend God's kingdom in the generations to come."
