I’m a landscape hobbyist. I’ve had this lense more than a year. This is my most used lense. Sweet spot is 19-35mm. F4 is plenty for post sunset blue light shots. No tripod needed. Leave it in the car. The lense stabe coupled with the in camera stabe mean you only really need the tripod if you want a long exposure effect in your photos. I don’t do astro.

I've had this for almost a year, and like the EF 11-24 I traded in for this lens, I remain impressed every time I aim it. Interiors, landscapes. I wish I wasn't so squeamish about the bulb of a lens and the plastic cover--Canon: metal, please--because I've left this at home at times I got to some place special and wished I had it. I have to get over it and just carry it into the backcountry like I have Canon wide angles for decades. I cannot compare the qualities of this lens vs my 11-24, a lens I never used without marveling at what a crafted design, great weight and bulk could produce in terms of unparalleled qualities; with the RF 10-20 without almost hyperventilating how everything that made the 11-24 great has been reduced--length, girth, weight, even price--in this lens. I've beean a Canon user since 28mm lenses were as wide as you could go without distortion (i.e., about 60 years). And while this lens might need Lightroom Classic to straighten out some of the lines, that by being smart in setting this up for shooting one is able to need so little from the software to achieve such linear results, is nothing short of an amazement. It's bright, the colors are rendered properly (as attached to my R5), it's such an easy lens to use it seems a real shame I've left it home when I should have taken it (Great Sequoia, Utah's slots, Big Bend NP, Guadalupe Mnts. NP). But, that's on me. No one I read or hear talks about it being actually fragile, so I need to get over it and just start carrying it.

If you shoot real estate, this is the ONLY lens you need! Very sharp, reliable and consistent results. It's a workhorse too as I typically shoot at least 30 homes a month. This lens and my R6MKII is a fantastic combo!
Amazing!

I purchased this lens a week ago and it is fantastic. It's clear and bright, a great range for landscape photography. I wish I would have bought it long ago. I thought my 24 to 105mm would be adequate for good landscapes but I was mistaken.

I was originally going to write a scathing review of this lens. As it turns out, the issue I was having wasn't with the lens at all, it was the software I was using (Lightroom Classic). I was experiencing terrible vignetteing and barrel distortion that was especially noticeable when shooting wide. Lightroom was reading the meta data correctly but was not applying the correct profile in the develop module. Now that I've discovered that, I am totally thrilled with this lens. It is every bit as good as my EF 16-35L that this replaced. Excellent for landscapes and works great for architectural applications as well. I just can't believe I was ready to sell this lens and go back to the EF 16-35L. This lens will be going with me everywhere.

This lens is amazing , sharp, light , no visible distortion at all range , from 14 to 35. But beware , Adobe did not have the profil yet il LR Classic so the results in LR are terrible.. I was about to return the lens but discovered that Using CPP4 , the picture were perfect. LR shows issues , the mail one was heavy black vignetting. I tried other Canon Lens , RF & EF but was not able to remove the vignetting. Vignetting was very strong in the low focal range , not pass 24mm. I enjoy this lens , process my 14-20 pictures with CPP4. I was very slow as I using a R5 file . Mr. or Mrs Canon , please move quickly on CPP 5

After a day of usage with this new lens, I could not be more impressed! This lens is really compact and light for a lens in its class, making it ideal for those backpacking expeditions where size and weight are critical consideration for what is to be carried. All the functions and quality you would expect from Canon "L" glass is there, feel and functions are solid and the image quality is simply outstanding! Sharpness corner to corner is remarkable for such a wide zoom lens. The only negative I have experienced so far is slight vignetting at 14mm, fairly pronounced with a filter on (even with an 82mm using a low profile adapter). Overall I am extremely impress with what this little wonder can do, it has already earned a permanent place in my gear bag!
