Q: My tub sprout pulls down from the bottom where the water comes out. Will this work?

A: The Canopy Bath Tub Filter is designed to be compatible with most standard bathtub spouts, thanks to the two different-sized attachment bands included in every kit. These bands allow for a secure fit across a wide variety of spout shapes and diameters. We include multiple attachment bands to help fit circular, squircle (yes, that's a real shape name!), rectangular, wide, or thinner spouts. Some very decorative or unusually shaped spouts may not be an ideal match. You can see full installation instructions here: help.getcanopy.co/en-US/how-do-i-install-the-canopy-bath-tub-filter-1790140

Q: What’s the difference between this-target version vs the one from the official Canopy website? It’s a $20 difference
submitted by Anon1 - 6 months ago
A: Thanks for your question! The Canopy 2-in-1 Bathtub Filter sold at Target is a Target-exclusive version of our standard bathtub filter.
The core filtration performance is the same, helping reduce chlorine and other unwanted contaminants for a gentler bath experience. The main difference is that the Target version does not include the built-in temperature indicator that’s available on the standard Canopy Bathtub Filter sold on our website.
Removing that feature allowed us to offer the Target version at a lower price point, while still delivering the same core filtration benefits.

Q: Does this filter out Lead,Chlorine and Fluoride?
submitted by Jay - 6 months ago
A: Thanks for your question! The Canopy x Target Bath Tub Filter is designed primarily to reduce chlorine and other common bath water irritants, which can help make bath water gentler on skin and hair. Like most bath and shower filters, it targets chlorine specifically, since chlorine is commonly added to municipal water and is often responsible for dryness or irritation during bathing. The focus of the filter is improving the bathing experience by reducing chlorine and similar irritants in the water.

Mold
Didn’t find any difference in the water and i just discovered that it had a ton of mold inside out it. I didn’t think to clean a bath filter so probably my fault but no alway should this amount be in it from the amount we used it.

Clean and safe for children
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sturdy apparatus for your bathtub. It is simple to assemble and attach to the waterspout. The water flow is smooth and you can feel the difference on your skin from the water with and without the filter. Would definitely recommend for parents.

Dont purchase!
Don’t waste your money! Unless you’re willing to turn your water pressure so low your shower heads then don’t work, don’t purchase this! I’d say about half the water even gets filtered because it just pours out the side holes. When trying to troubleshoot why it did this the company said to turn down the water pressure in my house. So, I did just that and it was still awful AND my shower heads then didn’t work well. I’m sorry but for being so expensive I expected MUCH better.

I’m sorry it hasn’t been performing the way you expected, that’s definitely not the experience we want for you. The openings at the front of your Bath Tub Filter and at the bottom, behind where the filter sits, are what we call the Spillways, and they’re designed to do exactly what you’re seeing: release excess water when the flow rate from your faucet is high. Many bathtub spouts are built to release water quickly to rapidly fill a tub. When the water pressure is strong, especially on setups with a single knob where you can only control temperature, not flow rate, some water will exit through these release areas. Even when that happens, the majority of the water is still passing through the filter media before it enters your tub, which is a big improvement compared to unfiltered tap water alone. To make sure you’re getting the best possible performance, please double-check that the attachment band is pulled all the way back toward the base of your spout, with the arrow on the tab facing the wall. The band shouldn’t be visible through the top slit of the silicone cover. This positioning helps create a secure fit and reduces slipping or extra water escaping where it shouldn’t. If you’d like, you can send the Canopy team at support@getcanopy.co a clear photo of your setup so we can take a closer look and confirm everything sits correctly. If you’re still not happy with how the filter performs after these checks, reply back and we’ll be glad to review next steps with you.

Doesn't handle moderate water pressure
So much water comes out of the overflow spout, so the bath doesn’t get much filtered water. Our water pressure isn’t even that crazy, so it’s a pretty big flaw to me that the Canopy can only handle a slow and small stream of water without using the overflow spout. It’s better than nothing, but I’m looking for something to replace it and would not buy it again.

Do not buy this bath filter it does not stay on the spout of the tub. It constantly falls forward and the entire silicone white part gets moldy, and you need to wash it constantly, and despite constant washing the mold, just never stops. It’s terrible. Do not buy this.

We're so sorry for the worry this has caused, especially when bath time is such an important part of your routine. Regarding the fit, we recommend making sure that the attachment band is pulled all the way back toward the base of your spout, with the arrow on the tab facing the wall, to ensure that the ribs are facing the correct direction. The band should not be visible through the top slit of the silicone cover. This positioning helps create a secure fit and reduces slipping. As for the buildup, the Canopy Bath Tub Filter was designed with cleanliness in mind, featuring built-in ventilation and an antimicrobial coating to help resist mold and mildew buildup. For routine care, we recommend handwashing every other week with standard dish soap and a sponge or bristled brush to get into all the curves and crevices. While the filter is dishwasher safe, dishwashers can miss the harder-to-reach spots. Between washes, letting it dry out fully after each use makes a big difference. If that doesn't resolve the issue, please contact the Canopy team at support@getcanopy.co with a photo(s) of the issue, a brief description of what’s happening, and proof of purchase. We want to get this taken care of ASAP, may be able to help with a replacement.

A perfect addition to an eczema routine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hard water and eczema truly do not mix. So when I saw this pop up I knew I had to try it. My littles had noticeably soothed skin, less flaking, and fewer flare ups. It easily slipped over the faucet and was simple to wipe off if soap happened to splash on it. The water flow filled the tub quickly. The only drawback was there wasn’t a suction cup to hold it against the wall. Outside of that I would highly recommend.

Free filter not included!
Misleading advertising on box. The item you’re paying for is a 2 in 1, filter and spout cover for $70! On the corner of the box it says “free filter included, $37 value” but it’s not free you’re literally paying for a filter and cover. Or it could be misleading in a different way where I’m thinking I get an extra filter. $70 is a lot and to try and trick customers into thinking they’re getting a free $37 filter on top of what they’re purchasing is annoying.
1 reply from canopy Team team - 4 months ago
Thank you for sharing this feedback. I’m so sorry for any confusion caused by the packaging! We don't want you to feel misled. To clarify, the '2-in-1' mentioned on the box refers to the design of the device itself, it serves as both a bath tub filter and a protective spout cover for your bathtub. Additionally, we include a filter (which retails for $37) inside every box so that your unit is ready to use the moment you install it. Our goal is to provide that initial filter at no additional cost beyond the device itself, rather than requiring a separate purchase just to get started. Thank you for giving the Bathtub Filter a try!

Not for our Tub
I really love the concept of this product and had very high hopes but unfortunately it isn’t ideal for my bathtub and situation. I’m still giving it 3 stars because I can imagine if our plumbing was different, that it would be great. Pros: - easy set up… like really easy. Slide the band on, put the cover on. Both went on easily - easy removal for cleaning - looks and feels nice Cons: - not all of the water for my style bath/shower gets filtered because there is no way for me to lower the water pressure on my hot water - At the level where all the water was flowing through (very cold), the tub would take a long time to fill. I would gladly take this trade off if it would filter all my hot water

Skin loving product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the 2-in-1 bathtub filter from Canopy for my toddler, and I’ve honestly had a really positive experience with it. As a mom, I’m always mindful of what my child is exposed to—especially when it comes to bath time—so having a filter that helps improve water quality gives me extra peace of mind. Since using this filter, I’ve noticed a difference in my child’s skin. There have been fewer breakouts and irritation, and their skin just seems calmer overall. That alone makes it worth it for me. I also appreciate the quality of the product. It feels well-made, easy to use, and safe, which is exactly what I look for when it comes to anything for my child. Overall, I definitely feel confident continuing to use this and would recommend it to other parents looking for a simple way to elevate their child’s bath routine.

Good filter
So far I am very happy with this filter. Our town has hard water and it bothers my skin, so we have a shower filter (different company). However, I wanted something for our toddler’s bath, too. During the first bath with the Canopy filter, I felt a huge difference in the water. I’m not sure how to describe it, but it felt…softer? More pure. It’s given me so much peace of mind for my toddler’s baths. It was mostly easy to install. I don’t remember the process exactly but I was able to do it by myself, which is an achievement lol I’ve had it for about 3 months so we are about to change the filter!

Too slim to filter water
When running with our warm water - half of the water came out of the back flow opening so half of it was unfiltered - defeating the purpose of the filter. Already has been opened so cannot return. Very expensive filter - and a waste of money :(

Does not fit my bath
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I so wanted this to work on my kids’ bathtub. We have a wider faucet and I just couldn’t get it to attach properly, which was disappointing and meant that it was not secure or water tight. The largest attachment also immediately tore. I’m sure with a different faucet it would be fine, but sadly does not work for mine.

Don't bother. Nice idea but doesn't work
Two small spots that don’t get filtered let water into the tub…. Kind of defeats the purpose no? Too much pressure and the water also slips out the back
1 reply from canopy Team team - 5 months ago
We’re sorry this didn’t meet your expectations. The openings on the Bath Tub Filter are spillways, which are designed to release excess water when the faucet flow is especially high. Bathtub spouts often fill very quickly, so with higher-pressure setups, some water may exit through those areas while the majority of the water still passes through the filter before entering the tub. If the filter is slipping or water is escaping from the back, the fit usually improves when the attachment band is pulled all the way back toward the base of the spout with the arrow facing the wall.
