Stretch Ribbon is weird, and I'm not used to it

I like the concept of not needing to tie and re-tie my ribbons every time, but I can never get it so that it actually lies smooth. My first pair I cut them too short, so it was hard to tie each time. Stretch ribbon is fancy and if you're snazzy you can handle it just fine. It's smooth and sturdy. For me, I'm just not used to it. I'm hoping I'll figure it out, though.
