The Marvel Studios Captain America Brave New World NERF Skyshot Blaster is an action-packed roleplay toy for boys and girls ages 5 and up. This Captain America toy includes 3 NERF darts that can be stored at the front of the blaster. To activate, load a dart, pull back lever to prep dart while activating pop-out wings, and push button on either side of the handle to fire! Captain America shield blaster also features an adjustable strap and can comfortably fit most kids ages 5 and up. Play indoors to blast enemy action figures (sold separately), or take the fun outdoors to imagine even more super hero adventures! This is the second one of these we have tried, but neither of them have worked. They do not fire the darts. I do not recommend purchasing it.

Was ready to take back with the same experience as others for it not working but the Nerf site had helpful information that worked. Next, ensure the priming handle is pulled back until it will no longer move. Even after the wings on each side pop out, you will pull a little further until you see two arrowheads etched into the plastic handle. When both arrowheads are visible, the blaster has been successfully primed and ready to launch. See the picture for how the handle should look to prime the blaster.

My son really enjoyed that it looked just like Captain America’s shipped. It was a little bit difficult to figure out how to pull the lever back so that it shoots. I wish that it had multiple shooting capability instead of just one at a time all in all my son enjoys his toy.

My son received this as a birthday gift and the stupid thing will not shoot a dart. I gave it to my husband to fix and he said nope, not gonna work, it’s broken. So, I came to Target to see about swapping and I see these reviews that say the same thing - the darn thing just doesn’t work. The only positive reviews are from people who get the toy for free in exchange for their “honest” review. 🙄 This thing just doesn’t work. It functions as a shield with wings but it’s a NERF toy so, you know, it should shoot a dart. 🤦♀️

The idea and make of the product is amazing. The style is adorable. The shield seems durable. Unfortunately, there seems to be some fault in my blaster as i cannot get it to release the NERF dart.

As soon as he saw the shield, his eyes lit up, he’s a huge Marvel fan, so this toy was a dream come true for him. The design is super cool and looks just like something straight out of the movies. The shield itself is lightweight and easy for him to hold, and the blaster adds an extra level of fun with the foam darts. He’s been running around pretending to be Captain America, and it’s been so fun to watch his imagination go wild. The quality feels solid, and I like that it’s safe for kids (the darts are soft , safe and age-appropriate). The bonus is that it comes with extra darts, so the fun doesn’t stop too quickly. Honestly, anything that gets him off the screen and moving is a win for me. If your child is into superheroes, I totally recommend it — it’s already a favorite in our house!

Does NOT shoot. It is a defective toy! I even returned it and swapped to a new one, same problem. My son kept it because he likes the shield but it doesn’t work.

Why is target/nerf still selling this? Got for my son’s birthday, didn’t work. Exchanged for a new one from a totally different target and that doesn’t work either. Looking at it, it doesn’t even look like it’s designed to shoot the nerf darts. Then came to see reviews and not a single one has worked…
