There’s nothing to catch the excess salt/pepper when they’re sitting on the counter because the bottom is just open, so you need something under them so the area doesn’t become a mess. Cute, but salt doesnt grind well
I really tried with this set. It’s super cute, just the right size, and the pepper grinder works great. However, the salt grinder cannot handle some coarse flour de ceil sea salt and get stuck super easily, even on the higher/wider settings. I made sure to store away from heat and adjusted the grinder a few times, it just doesn’t work!

The grinding mechanism fell off while I was using it and even though I tried screwing everything back together, it no longer grinds pepper properly. I have to twist and twist and twist to barely get any pepper out. It’s basically useless and I’ve only had it for a couple of months.
