Q: why is sodium cocoyl isethonate an ingredient in something that's supposed to be hypoallergenic when coconut is a nut that can cause an allergic reaction?

Honestly so good. I use this on my skin and it works wonders. I’m a teen and it’s fine for my skin, it smells like a regular cleanser just not to harsh. I like how it’s limited ingredients to. It lathers nicely and my skin always feels to clean after, I wet my face and then put this on. It’s also L fairly cheap! I definitely would recommend for any age!!💕

This got rid of my acne pretty fast which made me feel more confident. The smell was fine. It didn’t have much of a smell, though. Most of the ingredients are good for your skin.

This cleanser is very gentle, and I like that. It is great for ultra sensitive skin but I don’t love it for the whole body. I find that I enjoy a body wash that can create a bit of a lather. I think in certain circumstances this gentle cleanser would be great, but for me it’s not something I would reach for daily. I would still highly recommend for anyone with extremely sensitive skin that just wants a more creamy non-lathering wash. It is the gold standard for many due to the fact that it is unscented, does not irritate, and leaves a protective barrier of sorts on the skin. Skin does feel very moisturized after use!

I've been using Cetaphil products for 40+ years. I was hopeful upon learning of new formulations and products, but came to be completely disappointed with the gentle skin cleanser. It doesn't remove my makeup nearly as well as the original formula, the consistency is thicker, and the aroma is unpleasant. I won't be buying this anymore. Why did you have to change an already outstanding product.
