Chicka Chicka Boom Boom - (Chicka Chicka Book) by Bill Martin & John Archambault (Hardcover), 1 of 4
photo from @sprinklejoyeveryday, 2 of 4

@sprinklejoyeveryday Chicka Chicka Boom Boom has always been one of my favorite books! When I taught kindergarten we did a whole Chicka Chicka Boom Book theme week. We made snacks, crafts, played lots of letter games, read lots of alphabet theme books, and sang lots of fun songs. Today I’m sharing a fun snack to make to go along with this book and theme. My twins and I love to make this snack and it’s one that’s on the healthier side too, so that’s always a win. To make your Chicka Chicka Boom Boom theme snack you’ll need Graham crackers, apple slices, mini chocolate chips, and alphabet cereal. You can always substitute raisins instead of chocolate chips or a pretzel stick instead of graham crackers. Tag me if you try it! I’d love to see yours! 💚 #chickachickaboomboom #iteachtoo #targetteachers #teacherstyle #teacher #read #school #teachersofinstagram #sprinklejoyeveryday

Book Synopsis

There is always enough room on your child's bookshelf for this rollicking alphabet chant that has been a children's favorite for over thirty years!

A told B,
and B told C,
"I'll meet you at the
top of the coconut tree"

In this lively alphabet rhyme, all the letters of the alphabet race each other up the coconut tree. Will there be enough room? Oh, no--Chicka Chicka Boom! Boom!

Countless children--and their parents--can joyfully recite the familiar words of this beloved alphabet chant. Bill Martin, Jr., and John Archambault's rhythmic text keeps the beat with Caldecott Honor illustrator Lois Ehlert's bold, cheerful art. This winning combination has made the Chicka Chicka series an enduring classic.
