Book Synopsis
The classic Chicka Chicka Boom Boom alphabet adventure heads to the beach in this sunny Ready-to-Go story that's perfect for beginning readers! The twenty-six letters are having fun in the sun--building sandcastles, spotting seashells, and making a new friend in a little red crab. But when the sun begins to set, A tells B, and B tells C...there's a great view from the coconut tree! With playful rhymes, simple sentences, and an adorable new crab character, Chicka Chicka Sun and Sea is just right for preschoolers and kindergarteners learning their ABCs. This entry-level Ready-to-Read book features sight words, word families, phonics support, and a guided reading section to support early literacy and reading comprehension.About the Author
Bill Martin, Jr. (1916-2004) has been called "America's favorite children's author." He wrote more than 300 books for children, including the classic texts Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, illustrated by Eric Carle, and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, illustrated by Lois Ehlert. John Archambault is a poet, journalist, and storyteller who worked with Bill Martin, Jr. on several projects. He lives in Idyllwild-Pine Cove, California. Daniel Roode is an illustrator and designer who draws inspiration from his French heritage, mid-century modern design, pop art, and nature. Daniel creates the bulk of his art digitally, an appropriate medium for his clean yet tactile aesthetic that has a distinct joie de vivre. He resides in Nashville, Tennessee, with his amazing wife Laura and their two funny cats.Dimensions (Overall): 9.0 Inches (H) x 6.0 Inches (W) x .11 Inches (D)
