Chicken Tikka Masala - 16oz - Good & Gather™

Bought this product and realized it was 4 weeks out of date!

This wasn't the worst that it could have been but it definitely wasn't good. There is almost no sauce — basically just enough to coat the chicken — so the dish is super dry. I debated buying a jar of tikka masala sauce to add but for the price of this product, I shouldn't have to buy another product to fix it. I also personally didn't like how large the pieces of chicken were. This made the chicken even drier because there was less surface to be exposed to sauce.

The chicken is very dry and worst it’s under-seasoned. You could argue that the sauce is there but as you chew on the chicken you’re getting no flavor which ruins every bite. The portion was good and no there’s no rice but I make rice at home no problem. Trader Joe’s has tikka masala and it’s “frozen” food but the difference is it actually has good flavor.

No, it did not taste like Tikka Masala but it was good. Color and texture not what was expected. Fast and easy to prepare. Put on Naan bread to make wrap and it was tasty.

I obviously didn’t read the packaging and assumed there was rice. No (my bad tho ig) The chicken is dry and there’s very little sauce. Does not taste like chicken tikka masala and it was very grainy the only positive I can give it is there is a lot of chicken however it’s only about 2/3 full in the packaging I will not repurchase or would suggest to someone it frankly pmo. Anyone who gave it a good review has never had good Indian food and you can make the point that it’s freezer food but for $8 I expected a little better than that.

Wow I can’t believe the bad reviews! Chicken was flavorful and good quality. I mixed each serving with some chickpeas for a well rounded meal. One of my favorites in the premade section.

Typically I buy another brand and thought I’d give this brand a try after seeing it in Target (mostly due to the price being almost half of the other). Sadly, you get what you pay for :( There was minimal sauce, the chicken was dry and overall did not taste like any tikka masala I’ve ever had over the years. Will not purchase again.

I wouldn’t serve this over rice as an entree, but enjoy it in wraps. Prepared meats often have unpleasant textures, but I cut the meat up and it looked and tasted good.

This brand of chicken tikka is really bad. It is full of gristle and it's dry and the flavor is not like any chicken tikka I have ever had.

I cannot believe how bad this is. My family and I eat Tikka Masala regularly both dining out and homemade. I grabbed this needing a fast meal assuming it would be something everyone would enjoy. It’s super dry, barely any sauce and tastes like someone knocked over a bottle of cumin into it by accident and just said “oh well” and shipped it off to Target anyway. Cumin is commonly found in Tikka Masala but there are other spices I should be tasting as well. I reeeeeally do not recommend.

Great flavor, not too strong, chicken was nice and no gross parts. 10/10 will be getting again!

I picked this up using the drive up yesterday and it expired March 26. Today is April 8.

Dry little people are saying and kinda grainy/gritty? No rice included also. I noticed in store that it didn't have rice but I had thought it did to begin with. Won't be buying again. Flavor okay.

Disgusting taste and chicken was very tuff and rubbery. Couldn't believe how awful this tasted and looked as well.

I was worried about trying this due to a few reviews claiming this is salty. No this is not salty but seasoned in Middle Eastern seasoning. I grilled a red bell pepper, a half onion, both chopped up and boiled some baby potatoes. Added olive oil and voila! Can either go with rice, salad and or nan bread. Cheers!

Liked that it was precooked and fast but the flavor was mid level and it was pretty dry also doesn't include rice like the picture shows

Delicious easy meal!

I buy this when I want something easy to make for dinner, it's a fan favorite, love the flavor and how much of it you get for the price.

Nice big chunks of chicken in a very tasty sauce. No rice just chicken in thick sauce; which is great- why pay for filler you can make easily at home. It is definitely 3 meals worth although i ate about half the meat before i even heated it up the first time i bought it!! I couldnt believe how good it was!! Nice thing about this stuff is large chunks of chicken a thick sauce you can add a little water to to thin it out then mix into cooked Basmati rice: 1-1.5 cup rice for 1/3 pkg ( or 3-4 cups for entire pkg of chicken). You can add some frozen peas or corn for some veg. It is a little on the salty side at 820mg / serving but thinned out w plain rice, peas, corn etc it tastes really good. I saw this every time i was buying Ground Beef (which is great quality) at target and finall decided to try it. Im on a sodium restricted diet (1800mg daily)but 1 serving at 820mg salt with rice, peas,etc is ok for 1 meal. I dont understand why reviews arent higher especially since you can slide it out of the package and see exactly what it looks like. It has been consistantly good the 5 times ive bought it in 2 months! Try it, if you enjoy curries etc, you will like it.
