Cineastre is a German Black Metal and Dark Folk project that was brought to life in 2018 by Wintergeist. It is music meant to touch the soul, reaching to depict the beauty of poetry, folklore, mysticism, dark woodland and the scents of nature. Once again, the band uses themes of romanticism to craft a powerful blend of Melodic Black Metal and Dark Folk. The album feels both euphoric and melancholic - it expresses a longing. A longing for a more enchanted world. A world beyond the mess of modernity we now find ourselves in.
