Q: It says to wait ten minutes then blow dry. Can I not wash my hair? Should I use it on dirty hair or washed hair?

submitted by Heather - 1 year ago
  • A: Instructions say to rinse it out, you can use conditioner. I washed my hair (I wash daily) after 15 minutes and color was fine.

submitted byjinjin - 8 months ago
  • A: You should start with clean dry hair (hair should have been washed the day prior to using this product), When finished rinse and use a Conditioner NO shampoo and the color will last longer.

  • A: Hi there, we recommend the hair be shampooed 24 hrs. prior to coloring so the hair is clean and dry. We don’t recommend shampooing immediately before coloring. If the hair has not been washed, it should be fine as long as there is no heavy build up of oils or styling products. But it’s best if the hair is clean and dry for best results. When the color is done processing, it should be rinsed out, not shampooed.

Q: Hello, Can this product to be saved to re-use for the next time in between the salon visits? How long can it be stored from the first time opening? Thanks!

submitted by thehairlady - 9 years ago
  • A: No. At least thats what it says on the box.

submitted byAlways Happy - 8 years ago
  • A: I have always gotten multiple uses from each box, despite what the box says. I use the product over 6 months or so and get about 3 uses out of each box. Just make sure the lids are on tight.

  • A: Yes. Absolutely. I use it for my eyebrows, and go through maybe five lots of eyebrow colouring before I run out. Just be sure to screw the top on the colour and liquid properly.

Q: Will this cover up my balding spot near my hairline? You can see my scalp because there is little hair there

submitted by Samantha - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi there. Nice'n Easy will cover grays which may give the appearance of denser hair but it will not cover bald spots.

Q: Which color is lighter, the 6G or the 6. One says light golden vrown an the other light brown!

submitted by Cris - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi there. 6G and 6 are the same as far as depth of color is concerned. The difference is in the tone. 6G has a golden base which is a warmer tone so it will appear more golden or can make brown hair appear reddish. #6 has a neutral base. Neutral tones fall between gold and ash, so the end result won’t be as warm as a gold but not as drab/cool as an ash like 6A or 6C. Neutrals also tend to cover gray the best since the base is made up of a mix of both warm and cool tones.

submitted by DebM - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi there. The next lighter cool shade for Clairol would be 6.5A Lightest Cool Brown.

Q: Did they change the formula? I don't remember the box saying lasts only 3 weeks, as if it washes out or something. I've used it for years, and it has always gradually faded in at least 2-3 months, never washing out.

submitted by Target Lover - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi Tracy! The Clairol Root Touch-Up Permanent Hair Color Kit is designed just for the roots that's why it lasts 3 weeks, hope this helps :)
