I expected to like the Frosted Lemonade. I did not expect to become emotionally attached to it. It is genuinely SO good—refreshing, creamy, and somehow tastes like an actual treat without that obvious protein-drink aftertaste. I’ve tried plenty of protein sodas/clear protein powder and this is in a completely different league. I actively look forward to drinking it, which is not something I can say about most protein products. Clean Simple Eats, please never discontinue this. I will be personally devastated.

Way too sweet
So what does the Frosty Lemonade taste like? If you are a woman and you’ve ever been pregnant and had to do the glucose test this is exactly that flavor. I had my last child 12 years ago and I can still remember the sickening sweetness of the glucose test mixture. One sip of the frosty lemonade flavor and I was transported right back. I really didn’t like it. But my 12 year old liked how over the top sweet it was. I diluted with a seltzer to just get it down. Tasted like Mountain Dew once I added the lemon seltzer water. 3 stars because it has the protein I need. 0 stars for the flavor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just ordered FOUR more cases. Yep - I drink one every single day. I feel like I went to Sonic and got a Cherry Limeade, but healthier and full of protein instead. It's very flavorful - maybe too much for some, but you get used to it pretty quick. It's part of my daily routine. This needs to stay a permanent fixture of CSE products forever!

Gross stevia and gross cherry, and I normally love anything cherry
I love anything cherry flavored so I didn’t trust the reviews. That was an expensive mistake. Not only is the stevia fake-sugar level overwhelmingly sweet and gross, the cherry flavor is just bad. I don’t know what they used but the others are right; it’s giving cleaning product. Great idea but bad flavor and gross stevia aftertaste/cloying fake sweetness.
