Good for oily skin but a bit strong for sensitive skin

I really wanted to love this . It's a thick gel but light. It left my skin feeling firm , hydrated and got rid of the oily shine. But my skin is also sensitive and it gives me mini forehead breakouts. Moisturizing over it made no difference

I have oily skin that is on the sensitive side. I like the consistency. Applies like any other hydro gel. I did notice that it is on the strong side. I can see it irritating someone with very sensitive skin. Or needing to put a moisturizer over it. As far as how it left my skin. It leaves a nice matte look and makes your skin feel firm . It also lasts. I use this 2 maybe 3 times a week when I do my whole shebang regimen

I am using this 2 maybe 3 times a week when I do my full regimen. My skin feels hydrated, firm, healthy matte look. The feel and look does last a few days..it does take a minute to soak in . A little goes a long way. One thing I highly recommend is using this with a lightweight normal to dry skin moisturizer. It's on the strong side and can dry up your skin. I have combination oily skin. Why I like this, fast results, longer lasting the more I use it, fragrance free, visible difference, skin feels great. What I don't , pricey, a bit on the strong side. Definitely wouldn't recommend using it twice daily.

This product just doesn't match it's previous replacement. I find it to be gummy, and feels like you have something slimy on my face. Let alone, I see no benefit after using it for three months. I have been a 47 year Clinique user, and they are starting to annoy me by changing things that don't work as well as the original products. Perhaps this is cheaper to make and allows them to raise the price and use cheaper chemistry. i've no idea. I just know that i don't like this product and it makes me sad.

The old formula was amazing and I used it for years. This new blue formula barely moisturizes and my face is dry within a few hours. The old formula my face loved and it lasted. I guess I need to find another brand. Clinique has been destroying their men's line for several years now.

Not the same formula as before.

The white lotion was so much better than this blue lotion. I wish you would have kept the previous formula. I have actually switched to another brand of men's Facal Hydrator.

I like the consistency of this moisturizer, it isn't heavy and doesn't leave my skin feeling oily. It also absorbs quickly into the skin which I like.

As many have stated the old version is so much better. My wife had been a long time user but disliked the newer products and began buying other brands, but I kept buying this one. Purchased this new version and now I will also be shopping elsewhere. Why change something that worked so well?? Poor/Horrid product "development" (Sic)

I bought this in a Clinique set and by itself and found this 72-hour moisturizer to be an excellent moisturizer when used in a 3 step cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize skincare routine. Works best when used with a complete Clinique skincare regimen/routine.

The 72 hour Maximum Hydrator left my skin feeling dry after a few hours. I also noticed that I had blue spots on my face and had to rub them in. Please bring back the old white cream maximum hydrator. Why would Clinique replace a winning product with one that doesn't work as well? Sadly, I will be shopping around for a new hydrator.

I used the original formula to address the combination skin issues I have but this current product does virtually noting to assist ME with my skin concerns. If this is the New Coke bring back the original formula for those that prefer a product that works for us!

Agree with other reviewers, the old formula (the white cream) was so much better. This one does not do the job as well. I bought like 6 of them and still using them as to not feel like I wasted my money but will not buy again. Sorry I have to start searching for another cream since I had used Clinique for so many years but, instead of keeping the good stuff, they ruined it and my skin still feels dry even applying a generous amount to my face!

I used to the old version, bought and supported the brand for over 5 years, the old version was worked so well, why have to change to this, I had use it as a sample and glad that I did not buy it. The new version was completely a joke because it wasn't last for 72 hours as advertised.
