Contrary to its name, this sugar doesnt actually come from a coconut, nor does it remotely taste like coconut. The brown sugars rich caramel flavor is produced by tapping the sweet nectar from the tropical coconut palm tree flower (a process thats similar to how maple trees are tapped for maple syrup production). The nutrient-rich juice is dried in a large open kettle drum and condensed into a delicious whole brown sugar. A natural sugar substitute for baking, this organic product will add depths of flavor to all your favorite recipes.

Coconut Sugar
I have used this brand and have found it to work cup cup as brown sugar, just not as sweet. Will continue to use in baking and cooking.

New Better Sugar
Just purchased this Vanilla Coconut Palm Sugar. And already it has become my favorite. Nice sweet mild taste. I have made some up with cinnamon and have used in my oatmeal, coffee, teas and on sugar cookies. Great favor, a good alternative from cane sugar. There is no reason why someone could not find many uses. I have had and its only a few week and have found many.

Great!
This is a great quality organic coconut sugar. It has more flavor than other brands. It tastes more complex, it slightly reminds me of the same company's Sucanat sugar. I use it with hot tea only but I am sure it would be great for cooking too. The only downside is the price. It is fair trade too.

Healthy and delicious
I know this is the healthiest sweetener available and encourage the reader to do their own research. I have become accustomed to the fact that it is a bit less sweet than cane sugar and to the slight taste of molasses and I LOVE IT! I use it to replace cane sugar which I no longer have in my pantry.

Delicious
I started off using another brand to cut back on my sugar intake and found coconut palm sugar to be very yummy. I found this one brand in a local store and tried it and much to my surprise it was amazing and I like it just a pooch better. We (I have my kids using it) use it primarily (so far) for our coffee. It doesn't have an aftertaste and you do not need as much to sweeten. I highly recommend you try it, I promise you won't be disappointed.
