Description
The 2.5 TOG Cocoon Swaddle Sack is a zip-up swaddle, used to sleep a baby in, from birth. TOG rated for warmth, the Cocoon Swaddle Sack keeps a baby safe and securely swaddled without the need for complicated wrapping. Being TOG-rated ensures the 2.5 TOG is insulated enough to use in room temperatures between 15-21°C / (59-69°F) with no blankets required in the bassinet or cot, making this a safe sleep option for a newborn or baby. The chest area is 1.0 TOG rated to prevent overheating and allow for full chest expansion when breathing.
Parents can layer up underneath as needed for warmth, and follow our handy FREE room thermometer and what to wear guide included with the product to help them dress their child appropriately. We recommend pairing this with one of our TOG-rated Layers or Bodywear underneath (sold separately).
The Cocoon Swaddle Sack features arm poppers at the shoulders, to transition the Cocoon from an arms-in swaddle to arms-out sleep sack when baby is showing signs of rolling. A zip enclosure protects your child's delicate skin, and the soft, breathable natural fibres are certified non-toxic, dyed with water based dyes, and gentle on newborn skin, and skin prone to eczema breakouts. The swaddle is made from and filled with GOTS certified organic cotton, with elastane in the outer fabric and bamboo in the lining. This means it's firm enough to restrict startle reflex whilst still allowing stretch and movement for healthy growth. The stretch allows for added comfort, and for a baby to move its hands into a self-settling position inside the swaddle. The bell shaped design is approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute as being hip-healthy, and promotes proper joint development in the hips and shoulders joints. Finally, the two-way zipper makes for quick and easy nappy changes during sleep with minimal disruptions.
There are three ways to sleep your baby with the Cocoon Swaddle Sack:
1. Use as a zip-up swaddle by ensuring the arm-poppers are closed. Suitable from birth-rolling.
2. Use with a Butterfly Cardi (sold separately) to create a hands-up sleeping position for babies that prefer this style of sleeping. Suitable from birth - rolling.
3. Use as an arms-out swaddle by opening the arm-poppers and releasing the arms. Suitable from birth - 12 months.
The Cocoon Swaddle Sack meets all safety standards in Australia and New Zealand and is reviewed by the Eczema Association of Australasia as a skin-friendly product.

We absolutely love these sleeping bags. They are so easy to use, really versatile with the ability to have the arms in or out, and love that we can be confident our baby is warm enough based on the TOG rating. We ordered our first ones before we had left hospital (as swaddling was hit and miss) and made sure we had the next size up on hand as our baby grew, as we can't be without them!
Fantastic!!

Absolutely love it! Went from 0.5TOG TO 2.5. So cosy and such amazing quality. Recently transitioned my 4 month old from swaddled to arms out and it works both ways amazingly. He will be an Ergopouch boy for life 😉 Thank you!

I’ve tried other sleep suits/bags but in the end the only ones both my kids loved were the ERGO pouches. They look super comfy, even id sleep in one. Such great quality and so many different variations to them to adapt to bubs transitions of arms in and out. Don’t look elsewhere, I can guarantee your bubba will love these.

I love this sleep sack! When my second baby was born in January, I knew she would need a warmer sleep sack, but she has a strong startle reflex, so we needed something that would swaddle her arms. I also was looking specifically for a sleep sack that was organic cotton because the material of what I put on my baby’s very absorbent skin is important to me. This sleep sack checked all of those boxes and has worked perfectly for us. We live in North Carolina, so the winter is mild enough for a 2.5 TOG. She has slept very well in this and I absolutely love the soft material. The closed off arms have swaddled her perfectly, and it’s so nice to have the option to let her arms out for when she no longer needs swaddling. I will definitely be buying more sleep sacks from ergo pouch as she grows!
Great for colder sleeping climates

We live in a northern climate in a drafty old farmhouse. There are times where it gets to -40° F in the winter. After have a winter baby, I panicked realizing how cold our room was and how unprepared we were for a comfortable sleep set up. I purchased the 2.5 tog sleep sack, 1.0 Tog Zippy and Butterfly Cardi for our newborn. It's definitely given me peice of mind and I love the set up! The material of the sleep sack is thick, soft and stretchy and has held up and washed great the past two months we have had it. Im excited to get into the 3+ tog rating when he gets bigger for next year. Cons for me- material seems to bunch up a little bit because it is so stretchy. I find myself have to adjust the fabric from bunching between the Butterfly Cardi and his sleep sack frequently. The zipper cover protector is also pretty stretchy and the zipper will pop out and poke him in the face sometimes which is a bummer. Otherwise I highly recommend for colder sleeping climates, it's the next best thing to wool in my opinion! Iwould love to see some wool products someday too!
