Coleman Skydome 8-Person Camping Tent, Blue Nights, 1 CT

The tent is roomy and fairly easy to set up. I haven’t yet tested it in extreme weather, but my family camped in it while it was raining and it held up fine!

This is a GREAT car camping castle! My military bivouac days of sleeping on the ground are over. Now, I push a 17" high, full size inflated mattress through that gi-normous door. I'm over 6' tall and don't have to crouch inside this castle. Yep! People are jealous of my Coleman tent.

We used this tent for the first time this weekend. And storm rolled through and even when the wind was just picking up, the tent collapsed on us sending myself and 2 kids panicking to find shelter. Everything inside was soaked and the whole bottom of the tent was filled with pools of whatever. Will never trust or buy coleman anything ever again.

I recently had the opportunity to try out Coleman's 8-person Skydome tent, and I must say I am quite impressed. As someone who loves camping and spending time outdoors, I am always on the lookout for high-quality camping gear that will make my adventures more enjoyable. The Skydome tent definitely delivers on that front. One of the first things I noticed about the tent was how easy it was to set up. The pole system is color-coded, which makes it simple to figure out where each pole goes. The tent also comes with pre-attached poles, which saves time and eliminates the need to thread the poles through the tent sleeves. I was able to set up the tent by myself in under 10 minutes, which is a huge plus in my book. The tent is also incredibly spacious, with a center height of 6 feet 5 inches. This made it easy for me and my fellow campers to move around comfortably inside the tent, even with 8 people. The vertical walls of the Skydome tent also provide plenty of headroom, which is a nice feature when you're trying to change clothes or move around inside the tent. Another feature I appreciated about the Skydome tent was the ventilation. The tent has large windows and a mesh ceiling that allow for excellent airflow. This was especially important during the hot summer nights when I used the tent. The ventilation kept the tent cool and prevented condensation from building up inside. The tent also comes with a rainfly, which is great for providing extra protection from the elements. The rainfly is easy to attach and does a good job of keeping the tent dry, even in heavy rain. The tent also has taped seams and welded floors, which help to keep water out and provide extra protection. One thing I would note is that the tent does not come with a vestibule or awning, which means there is no covered area to store gear or shoes outside the tent. However, this is a minor issue, and there are aftermarket solutions available if you want to add a vestibule or awning to the tent. Overall, I am very impressed with Coleman's 8-person Skydome tent. It is easy to set up, spacious, well-ventilated, and provides excellent protection from the elements. Whether you're camping with a large family or a group of friends, this tent is an excellent choice for your next outdoor adventure.

This tent didn't even make it through one night. The wind blows and it falls over. The 2nd time using the tent there was a small storm, rain and wind, and the tent was broken and was never able to use it again. Don't waste your money or time! I had to carry my kids and all of our belongings in the rain, in the middle of the night.

Great tent but annoying zippers. They caught on the cover flap every time it was zipped open or closed.

Only 1 window and a sketchy zipper. Took about 15 minutes to put up the first time with 2 people. Been tent camping for 46 years. Huge door.

this thing rocks, even though it was extremely windy, the ties on this tent kept it rooted.For the price it cant be beat, could comfortably sleep 4, could sardine sleep 8. Tall enough for my 6'3 friend to stand in.

Don't buy this tent, it's a poor shape, it's cold, no windows

It arrived broken, one clip was already broken and there was no time to send it back before it had to be used. Had to sue a zip tie to connect it to the pole. Door zipper not great, it gets stuck very easily. Otherwise okay, the height was nice but not great quality.

Very easy to setup and seems well-made, but there are no windows besides the door, so there is very little air circulation. I use mine for the first time last weekend and woke up nearly suffocating every weekend. Also, there are meat pockets on one side only, which is inconvenient.

Tent is easy to setup, very spacious. During the third use, the connector that keeps the pole connected to the tent broke. Where can I buy replacement connector?

Large tent. I could fit a king and full size mattress and still have some extra room left. Easy to assemble. I recommend this product

I Lead a boys group called Royal Rangers. We bought several of these for a trip this summer. Everyone thought they set up easily and they survived boys going in and out. After 2 more campouts, I purchased 2 more to give us a total of 8. They say for 8 people, but I only put 4 in them (5 max)

Pitched this tent as a practice run the day I purchased it. The seams are not strong at all and are ripping and are ripped. I will be returning this product to the store and will never purchase a Coleman product again. Buyer beware.... Coleman isn't the company it use to be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally had the opportunity to use my 8-Person Skydome™ Camping Tent by Coleman and I wasn’t disappointed. I would add some waterproofing, but I do that for any tent. It was a fast and easy set up and had enough space for my family of 5, sure we could utilize one of the fancier options but this worked. I foresee being able to use this many times over the years and it still hold up. I love that the packaging doesn’t take up a ton of awkward space either, it comes it it’s own bag and will fit back in it. We didn’t have any issues at all!

Overnight camping trip ruined due to permanently attached pole with broken cord right from new package

Went camping for the first time in many years so decided to buy a new tent that was not going to take forever to set up. It held up great in the rain and it served it's purpose. It wasn't as big as I anticipated. We had a queen size mattress and if we were to put another there would definitely not be any room to walk around or get dressed anywhere other than on the bed. There needs to be a couple more places to stake the floor down because there was so much access that we had to be careful not to trip on it. My zipper also got stuck on the zipper cover over and over and over again. I need two hand to zip and unzip every time I got in. I'm happy I have a tent so that I can camp again .. it's good for a starter tent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a good quality tent that was spacious as well as easy to assemble, I wanted to make sure it was easy to assemble and big enough that I wouldn’t feel cramped and this tent is exactly what I got! The tent is designed with large deep windows, air circulates on hot nights, air circulation is key on this tent. The tent is quick to setup and take down. Perfect for camping! Definitely recommend!

Went camping in Oklahoma where the wind gusts were recorded between 23-29 mph for 2 nights. The tent would not stay up when the wind gusted and we cut our trip short due to being unable to sleep comfortably or at all in some cases. Size was great. Set up and take down were easy. It could have been great.
