TheRoad Trip Sportster Propane Grill from Coleman makes a great camping or tailgate grill. Whatever the meat, just hit the ignition button and you can grill with 11,000 total BTUs of grilling power. The 225-sq.in. steel grate can cook up meal for a family with ease. This RoadTrip stove is easy to clean after you're done cooking. A detachable tray gathers the grease while grilling and the grate can be removed to clean anytime you want. This one burner propane grill can fold flat for storage and the wheeled stand makes this grill easy to move around. Well, what are you waiting for? Get grilling!
I'd prefer a permanent grill, but since I have no outdoor space to keep one, I find this great because I can close it up and store it inside. It's lightweight so easy to move. It's also pretty easy to clean.
I do need to make a strap because there's some unexpected movement of non-rolling leg when it's closed up and I've hit my foot numerous times already. It also burns a little hot....can't imagine using it above a medium setting. It's probably going to be inconvenient to use if you're tall. I find it a little low for me (5'5) but I don't mind since I'll only use it a couple of times a week.
The cooking area was bigger than I thought. I wish it had a side table but was at the right price point for me. Food gets stuck on the cook surface which I hope will go away with age. We cooked steak and hamburgers on it so far. Not very happy with the manual and trying to put this grill together, especially with a name as big as Coleman! I’m very handy with tools and directions but this was a bear. Parts aren’t numbered and you don’t know which way a part should go (up, down, inside outside, etc.). I could only rely on the pictures and was able to put this together the right way the first time.
Perfect for what I bought it for, hot dogs and burgers at the beach. I wish it was taller so my 6'2" self didn't have to hunch to lug it around and grill. I also would prefer a couple more locks on it as it can pop open if you try to stand it up when taking a break when its collapsed. All in all, I'd buy it again. It's fairly priced after all.
I bought this item for the size and the convenience of it folding up like a TV tray for shed storage in winter. It came partially assembled so my part was easy. You will still need a couple of tools to tighten bolts. It is light and compact and I can pick it up to move it from patio to grass. A benefit is that it is small enough to put in the car for a day trip. A con might be that it is short, maybe waist high, and if you are a tall person you will have to bend over it or be on your knees to set up the propane and grease catcher.
I have only used it once and it seemed to run hot, but too soon to tell if that was actually true. I hope after using it a little I would give it 5 stars but leaving room on the rating since I have only used once.
Very simple to put together and use. Small and portable to take with you. We have a small balcony at our condo so this works great to have without taking up all our outdoor space. Cooks enough at once for a family of three or four and because it has just one burner, the propane lasts a very long time.
