Columbia Crest Merlot - Reviews 2020
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine was a bit too sweet for me, sweeter than I find more Merlot's to be.

Smooth drinking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For me, this merlot was the best of most that I’ve tried. It was fruity and easy to drink (not too many tannins) because it was nice and smooth. I didn’t need to pair it with food - it was great to sip on while my kids napped in the late afternoon. It would also go great with snacks like cheese, nuts, or charcuterie with spreads.

A merlot for everybody
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not normally a merlot drinker so I was surprised when I LOVED this merlot! I have a Cabernet pallet but thought this merlot was one of the better wines I’ve had. Would definitely venture out of my Cabernet comfort zone to enjoy this wine again. Served it with a charcuterie board and it was the perfect pair.

So much flavor!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with this Merlot! I usually shy away from Merlot because the wines tend to be a little too acidic for me, but I decided to give this a shot and was so happy that I did! Deep, rich, full bodied wine that wasn't acidic or bitter at all. Very smooth with notes of chocolate and dark cherries, so delicious!

Dessert wine!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine is my favorite kind of dessert wine!!! Usually I don’t drink merlots because they are way too sweet for me, but this one is super smooth.

Good deal for a good Merlot!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Merlot is great paired with a burger or a steak dinner. It's subtly spicy for intrigue, but also smooth and easy to drink. Not as rich as other merlots depending on your preference, but the bottle is a great deal.

You had me at Merlot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the best Merlot's I've had in a while, and I really enjoyed it. Pairs well with anything and just an amazing full body wine. From the Earthy tones to the finish I will be getting another one of these bottles son.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Merlot is not typically my go-to wine, but I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted Columbia Crest's Merlot for the first time. It is a very smooth, medium-bodied wine that would be great paired with a wide range of meals. It has notes of spice and blackberry and a surprising oaky finish. Personally, I love an oak taste and that really made the wine for me. It is perfect for a special dinner or just to relax on a nice evening.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A really great, powerful wine to enjoy with some red meat, either a steak or a burger. My husband and I loved the strong berry/fruit flavors and the subtle earthy flavors that weren't too overpowering. Neither of us like a strong tannin taste and this Merlot had just enough of a subtle earthy/tannin that wasn't too overpowering.

Great Merlot!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first red I have ever had was Merlot - so it's always one of my favorites. The velvety finish on this one is perfect, and I love the note of blackberries!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smells good, lots of cherry! Tastes very good! Very fruity for a merlot, which I like. Smooth but full body. I love this red! Perfect for the summer as well chilled. One is the best merlots I have tried. Not too heavy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice color, makes me think of an older wine. On the nose the wood notes overpower everything else. Nevertheless after a while of being in the glass, chocolate, vanilla and some leather start showing. On the mouth I found surprising to get ripe dark fruit flavor, since those I did not find on the nose. I also found chocolate and vanilla flavors. I would have it with food, not on its own. I liked it but did not find it memorable.
