Child's toy

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
Midway Customer - 2 months ago
Very thin, it's a children's toy for their make believe home. I cannot believe this $5 value was a $16.99 plus tax cost. I ordered this online. Target often embellishes the size of products and then when it comes, the product is not what is advertised. Unfortunately, I still tried to hang it even though I saw how this and utterly small it was. An adult bath towel cannot fit on this thing.

Instructions About Mounting Device Didn't Work

I could not get the plastic mounting device on the back of the towel bar to even move or come off, much less slide the towel bar up and off it. So, I just mounted the whole thing on the wall and left it there for 24 hours. Hope it stays up since I could not follow the instructions exactly.

Great for using on a tub/shower surround

I purchased this to install in my tub/shower area. My tub/shower area has a surround so this works perfectly. Perfect for hanging a small washcloth to dry. I also purchased a hook to hang a caddy for shampoos, soap etc. and that too works well. Nice to have an organized place within the shower area.
Perfect Little Towel Bar

I love this little towel bar. I have a very short wall next to my sink and I always wondered why a towel bar wasn’t installed there, as it seemed to be a wasted space. Lo and beyond I found the perfect towel bar that required no drilling or screws! The Command 9” towel bar fits perfectly. I realize that I installed it upside down, but I wanted it up a little higher and that’s the only way it would work. I added some clear silicone caulk around the edges because I don’t intend to ever remove it and it’s mounted directly above a heat vent. I love Command products!
Pros and Cons

This bar was exactly what I was looking for. I was so exited to get the two I bought installed. The first one went off without a hitch. The second one slipped when I went to install it and when I noticed it, I went to remove the strips. Here is a pro: They strips work very well. Con: too well, when they first go on. In trying to remove the one that was crooked and put new strips on, I tried to go slow, but the tab tore off - did I mention they stick amazingly well? I had to use tweezers to pull the adhesive. The strip refused to come off. In my infinite stupidity, I gave it just a bit more pressure. The strip stuck to the wall so well, it tore the paper from the drywall. Con: Now I have to patch and paint my wall. In the process I also broke the plastic mount. I can find extra strips, but no replacement mounts. This mean I have to buy an entirely new bar. I like the bars, but I don’t like buying all new hardware when all I need is one plastic piece. I don’t consider the strips, because I always have extras.

Too Short

cgkos - 3 years ago

Concept is a good idea but the bar is about 5" too short to hang a hand towel to dry. Total length of the bar should be 16". Once installed, that would leave about 14.5" for use.

Thank you for posting your review! it is appreciated! At this time, this is the only option for a hand towel bar and should fit most standard hand towels. We will be happy to forward your feedback for future product consideration. Thank you again for posting!

Mounting base on both sides will not slide out. Glad I checked before applying adhesive strips and mounting to the wall. I will return.

I purchased the first one for the back wall of our guest shower. I liked it so much, I purchased a second one for our new travel trailer bath. It is the perfect size and light weight. For a washcloth or hand towel, this is perfect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this for our walk in shower to hang the wash cloth. It’s been working out great. I do wish it came in longer sizes. We also bought one to hang at the kitchen sink. We spray painted it a bronze color to go with our decor. So far, so good it’s getting the job done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this towel bar as a temporary fix to hand my hand towel until I can find a contractor to redo my bathroom. It was just the right size and compliments my accessories nicely. Additionally, it withstands tugs well.
Perfect for our use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased to use in the bathroom and made a game changer decision. Our shower had no where for wash cloths and this product works perfect. We installed in the shower and now it’s used constantly. We would like to try other command products for the shower even though this product was not intended for that area. we like the satin look and it’s a durable metal product. The strips are great to remove and move to a different area for convenience. It’s great.
Attractive Towel Handle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two. I placed one in the main bath and the other in the master bath. The main bath towel handle is attached to a painted surface (satin finish). The master bath is attached to tile. My husband used a miter saw to shorten the bar so that it would fit the space (master bath is very small) - this modification hasn’t hurt the integrity. Two hand towels hang from towel handle in the main bath. One hand towel hangs from the towel handle in the master bath. It’s been over a year and both are working great. There are four in the household, two are teenage boys. I haven’t tried to remove them, so I cannot advise on this feature. I really like this product and always read product reviews. Hope this helps you.

Perfect RV Solution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mounting anything in an RV is a challenge for several reasons. One is that the wallboard is less than 1/8" thick and does not hold screws well, and another is that everything is slightly smaller than a normal residential space. This towel bar solved both problems perfectly - it fits just right in the limited space I had to work with, and it doesn't require drilling any holes in the walls. As a bonus, the existing hardware in the bathroom was satin nickel, and this looks like it had been there all along. We asked some friends who live in their RV full time on the road if they had any advice for us since we were just starting out - they said "That's easy! Command Strips!" I took their advice to heart and just ordered a bunch more Command products to try and get the camper organized before our next outing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two of these to put into our Camper's bathroom. I really do not like to put holes into our Camper walls, so I actually have loads of Command products in our Camper. But there are so awesome! They look great and are very functional. I absolutely Love them.
