These are the only bottles my 3 month old will use. I had been breastfeeding while I was on leave for 12 weeks. We knew he would have to take a bottle when I returned to work so we started to introduce Avent wide neck bottles around 8-10 weeks. He did ok with them so we thought he was all set to go. Once he got to daycare, he started to refuse the bottle. We decided to give these a shot as they closely mimic a breast. He has done great with these! Went from eating only 3oz to 12-15oz while I am at work. He took to them right away and even tried holding it himself (he can pinch the sides of the bottle for comfort like he does when he is at the breast).
I've used these bottles for 2 kids now. The bottles look great for being 3 yrs old. The outside did get discolored some from the box I stored them in but the discoloration has dissipated now that I am regularly using them again. Only my glass bottles are in better shape after being stored for so long. Both babies have been happy with them, and were able to hold their bottles better due to the texture. The silicone does take significant longer to heat up over glass and plastic bottles. The bottles are very easy to clean and vent well. Much easier to clean than some of the alternatives. My favorite bottles are the avent glass and life factory (become great sippy cups) ones, however my daycare will not take glass bottles. So these are the ones that we used to avoid the leaching of chemicals into the milk that is at risk with all plastic bottles.
I have not found a way to pump directly into these bottles. All available hacks resulted in a lot of spilled milk. Look else where if that is important to you.
Slowest flow nipple I’ve found, my daughter was choking or dripping out the corner of her mouth on every other bottle. We weren’t able to breastfeed the first 4 weeks but once we could she latched on great and I truly believe it was because of these bottles. Love them!
These are the best bottles we haves used. We have tried Dr. Browns, Phillips, and Tommie Tippy. This really helped decrease the amount of spit up my baby had as well as the dripping while she was drinking. They are super easy to clean. Great quality. They are easy for her to hold now that she is trying to hold her own bottle.
Love the look and style ! U can’t leave milk in there too long it will stick to plastic it happened to me so I used the rough foil style scrubber to rub it of. The shape of it just makes it fall or roll of easier!
