Old or improperly packaged
I had to get a replacement of this item because the first arrived damaged. However, both kits had the same problems. The white putty was completely dried out and unusable and the little spray bottles of "freeze" spray was broken. The first leaked all over the box and contents. The second would not spray.

This was a waste of our money!
The item was delivered on time and my 5 year old daughter was super excited about "rainbow cake slime". She had given it a nickname. Once arrived and opened the 5 scented dough rolls were dried out and hard as a rock. So we opened it anyway thinking maybe we could mold it into a circle as much as we could. No, nothing would help!!! The dough was stuck in the shape of the roll. Next, the dough that appeared to be the icing for the cake HARD AS A ROCK and dried out inside its packaging. At that point my daughter was devastated but still wanted to play with something so she created the slime which was initially in powder form and you had to add water. Simple. The main purpose of this product was to make a cake and we couldn't enjoy this item due to manufacturing issues or expired products. Target why sell defective products to loyal customers that can only be sold online?

The ingredients do not work like the pictures or the video showed. The white "icing" is as hard as foam and the only way to use it was to cut it into strips and try folding it. The slime is fun, but does not come out looking or working anything like the picture or video. All in all, although the kids liked playing with the slime, the rest of the kit was unimpressive. Not worth the price we paid which was over $12.00.

Not only was product packaging damaged and opened through transit (replaced first through Target which was great but 2nd was damaged too) - the slime (specifically the icing portion) was dried out and we had to throw away. Do not purchase. Waste of money! Lastly, the odor of what was useable is horrible.

Hard to get a hang of, but when you get it, it works!
For those having problems with the frosting, remove it from the plastic and treat it just like any ole playdoh. Forget that piping bag. Just roll it into a ball and fatten it out to create a super thing pancake for the layers.
