Addictive!
Outstanding! Every single word is like a bite of chocolate and it never stops. The story builds on itself and you keep wanting more! I can’t wait until the second book comes out and wish we didn’t have to wait a month! ❤️

Must read!!!
Thank you to NetGalley, Ballantine Books and Ariel Sullivan for an ARC! I read this book in one sitting and stayed up very late to finish this book. This book was a dystopian/fantasy story with a love triangle and a resistance/uprising plot which completely got me locked in. I was definitely back and forth on which male character I wanted the female lead, Emeline, to choose. I am still actually back and forth on actual motivations for the male characters. I would have liked a little more time spent on the relationship building vs the female character's solo experience. The ending was set up to lead into another book and I can't wait until that books out to continue the story!
