Beautiful story with beautiful colors and sprayed edges

Wow, I listened to this audiobook and was intrigued from the very first chapter. Devney Perry has created a magical world that pulls you in & captives you. Where you find yourself trapped inside this mysterious universe, gasping for breath & wondering what the future will hold for these characters! When I saw this gorgeous hardback cover I had to add it to my collection.

This is going to be my top read of 2024&2025. Absolutely amazing. I could not put it down and am doing a reread.

Slow burn, magic, monsters, brutes and stubborn women. twists that broke my heart, twists that blew my mind, and some predictable plots. Beautiful world building, amazing character development, and banter. Usually banter annoys me but this was perfect. I haven't cried from a book in a long time but I'm bawling. (Recent life events could be at play here too though). I loved this so much. oh, and pets.

Ms. Perry rocked her first fantasy book. The story is amazing and I devoured it. The special edition itself is beautiful.

Amazing book, I loved everything about it

Loved the book. 4.5 star read

This was kind of disappointing with all the hype around this book. The book itself looks gorgeous and that’s kind of where the positives end. The first 100 pages contained every romantasy trope and cliche cut and pasted together then followed by 300 pages of the main character asking questions no one answered then we finally get a plot twist we saw coming since page 40 and then an onslaught of information and forced romance that did not feel genuine or deep at all. Big letdown.

Devney ate and left no crumbs on her romantasy debut! I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. It was SO good. I need book 2 immediately!!

Wow! I'm blown away! I need to know what's going to happen next. Devney has a way of writing the best characters and stories, and this was no exception. This book hooked me from the first page. I loved Odessa and hated her family so much. It had me in tears, angry, laughing out loud, and everything in between. The slow burn was absolutely amazing! I found myself in physical pain when I had to put it down to do real life 😅. I really don't want to spoil anything for anyone. Just know that it was amazing and you need to read it!!
