Butcher & Blackbird - by Brynne Weaver (Paperback)

So good! I’m not usually into this type of read (nearly gagged through the whole first chapter) but omg!! What a ride. I was quickly pulled into reading the entire trilogy, hard to put down!!

I loved their love story. I needed a cleanse after reading some other books and this did great. Very entertaining and really good at keeping you interested.

This was beautifully written and for it being my first book getting into dark romance i’m very pleased. Definitely recommend!

I ate this book uppppp! I can’t wait to read the second one! (Parents there is spice and detailed unaliving I do recommend people under 16 read this book. If your child wants it I suggest reviewing it before letting them read it so you know the context of the situations/themes of the book)

The book is good so far! I am disappointed in the pages. They are stuck together and some of them are ripping from being stuck. I have no idea how this could have happened when they were being made. Big bummer to have to tear a page to read it.

This book had me laughing out loud! There are some dark and funny elements. I ran to buy book 2 and impatiently waiting for book 3. This has been my favorite read so far this year! Please check the trigger warnings though, before going in.

Honestly, might be my favorite book of the year. Well, maybe until Book 2 comes out in June. This was such a fun read. I laughed. I screamed out loud. It was fantastic. Please read the triggered warning. Some things are very descriptive. I personally wasn't offended by any of it and thought it was all the right amount. It's a slow burn, but I was rooting for both of the characters. 5 stars for me.

Yes, yes & YES. This one was such a unique & fun read! Not sure how a book about serial unalivers & dark romance could be "fun".. but here we are. When I say that this book had it all, I literally mean it had IT ALL. (So I'm just gunna say right off the bat, read the list of trigger warnings at the beginning if you're at all hesitant about certain topics-because this one can get pretty detailed sometimes.). Are the characters completely unhinged? Yes. Do they get up to some gory & pretty messed up stuff? Also yes. Did that stop me from becoming completely obsessed with watching them fall for each other? Absolutely not. Give me all the golden retriever, touch her & you die vibes I can get my grabby little hands on. Especially when the banter is top tier. But gore & spice aside (what a weird combo) there were some super romantic & fluffy parts in the book that made my heart swoon. Had me laughing out loud during some of the witty comebacks!
