submitted by aaliyah - 5 months ago
  • A: “Ruthless. Meticulous. Arrogant. Dante Russo thrives on control, both personally and professionally. The billionaire CEO never planned to marry—until the threat of blackmail forces him into an engagement with a woman he barely knows. Vivian Lau, jewelry heiress and daughter of his newest enemy. It doesn’t matter how beautiful or charming she is. He’ll do everything in his power to destroy the evidence and their betrothal. There’s only one problem: now that he has her…he can’t bring himself to let her go.” From the author’s website

Everything about this book was great! It also left me dying to start the next one with the hints towards the next couple's story. I love that it wasn't overtaken by s*x scenes and actually had an amazing story line.

Ooo this book. This book was really good. I have since bought the two other books so far in the series & can’t wait for the fourth book to come out soon! Definitely a good/quick read.

If you’re thinking about whether you should buy the book or not BUY IT!!! It’s so worth it! This is honestly my favorite book I’ve read so far. The enemies and lovers trope is very well incorporated with a perfect pace in my opinion. It was slow enough to enjoy but fast enough to stay hooked if you know what I mean.

Although i usually dislike the enemies to lovers trope, i really enjoyed this book. I loved watching Dante and Vivian fall in love and overall this was a great book.

I never leave book reviews unless I love the book. I used to read very often and would finish a book in less than a week. Lately I’ve been in a slump and set aside books. This was my first purchase back and IT IS A 10/10 Such a good series!

King of Wrath review and thoughts

I really enjoyed this book, it incorporated the elements of billionaire romance, hate to love, arranged marriage, and forced proximity all of which are my favorite tropes that a book could offer. I can’t thank Ana Huang enough for yet another fantastic book I can read on repeat forever. I love how Dante one of the main characters, is distant from Vivian at first because he is forced into marrying her because of blackmail, but as the book goes on and events take place they get closer and closer together and have a bond like no other. This book is apart of a series named Kings of Sin, and are all standalone books which are books that are connected but you don’t need the other books in the series to understand. King of Wrath however is the first book of the series so there is no prior information needed to understand the book slightly better. My favorite character in this book is Isabella Valencia. She is bold, daring, impulsive, and full of life, but that’s what makes her my favorite among all. I always try to immerse myself in books, to get the feel of what’s going on, and what the characters feel. This book made me feel that the characters are here, real and everything, making every decision before my eyes. This story made me always second guess myself, trying to discover what would happen next without peaking to the next page. My all time favorite part of this book is when Dante and Vivian have their little banters about little things, throughout the course of the book. Some parts were definitely written particularly well including most of the intense scenes Vivian had to endure. The book didn’t make me cry or laugh, or even mad, it just made me feel like I was in the story, being immersed in watching every step of every character, watching what they’re doing and what they’re saying. King of Wrath captured my full attention, and kept me turning the pages one by one rapidly, I even think I finished this book in less the 2 days, which is not typical for me. I usually read books within a week or two. I really wish there was a cliffhanger, because there is always room for anticipation in the future. Cliffhangers make me want to find out what happens next in the next book, and keep me waiting. I did find it difficult to care for some characters, and who they are as a person but I can’t really work out why I feel like that.
I honestly love this book whole-heartedly and recommend this book to whoever likes the steamy billionaire arranged marriage romance tropes this book has to offer. This book is definitely for older people, possibly 15 and up since it is a pretty mature book to read. King of Wrath compared to Twisted Love, another book written by Ana Huang, is slightly worse. In Twisted Love there was more drama and suspense, and King of Wrath just had a good storyline to it. I would definitely give this book a 4.5/5 stars.
