l've been using the Contigo Ashland 2.0 Stainless Steel Water Bottle for a while now, and overall I'm really satisfied with it. The AUTOSPOUT lid is one of the best features because it opens quickly with one button and closes securely to prevent leaks. I can throw it in my backpack without worrying about spills. The stainless steel design feels durable and keeps the bottle looking clean and modern. The grip is comfortable, making it easy to hold during workouts, travel, or daily activities. I also like that the bottle is lightweight and easy to carry around all day. Cleaning and assembling the lid is simple once you get used to the parts. The bottle keeps drinks cool for a long time and works great for water, sports drinks, or iced beverages.

Love this water bottle! It’s lightweight and perfect for on the go. The lid and straw are easy to take apart to clean. Contigo is always my go to brand!

I loved this water bottle until I had to wash the lid. Spent over and hour trying to put the water spout back together. Watched countless videos, had 2 other people try and assemble it as well. It shouldn't be that hard to do basic cleaning. Needless to say I now have a bottle without a useable lid. Loved the 32 oz and durability but the lid! The lid, Patrick! Will not be getting another one, not ever. :-(

This is a great water bottle for daily outdoor sports shoes, and it eliminates any worry about denting. It is leak-proof, easy to clean, and dishwasher safe.

I love this bottle for my toddler who is 2 1/2 years old! It doesn’t spill and holds the perfect amount of water. Easy to carry around as well! Lid is nice and secure.

The "straw" has to be in exactly the right position or it either will bottom out and prevent you from drinking or prevent the spout from closing. Then, if you just press the button to open it, it flips drops of water everywhere. I don't believe anyone actually tested this product.

Absolutely is not leak proof, as I found when my car seat was saturated by the water bottle. Disappointing considering how much they are.

The original Ashland water bottle is fine (it leaks, but it doesn't have nearly as many issues as this bottle does). First, the hook on the back of the lid is worthless. The original Ashland lid had the clip built in so you could actually hook your bottle onto your bag, but the Ashland 2.0 doesn't come with a clip, and hooking a caribiner to it ensures that the hook can never close all the way, which brings me to the next point: When the hook is open, it interferes with having the straw open. Did they not test this product at all?? Finally, Important Purchase CriteriaQuality No, I do not recommend this product, because of the placement of the straw spout and the carrying handle design.

I have a large, active family with three teenage boys. We have tried so many different water bottles looking for the perfect one that suites all our needs. Contigo is our go to brand thanks to the variety of sizes and colors. The Ashland 2.0 water bottle with AUTOSPOUT has been one of our favorites for a long school day or soccer practices. This bottle fits into the side pouch on the boys backpacks and soccer bags. These are durable enough to be thrown on the ground (this has been tested over and over 😉) and still does not leak. Only reason I didn’t give five stars is because the sipping part is hard to clean and they are a bit pricey. Overall, would recommend for the durability and variety of use.

This bottle met all of my requirements. It is functional, colorful, large, and the straw function allows me to drink more water without even thinking about it.

I have the previous generation and the current generation of the Ashland bottle. While I love the lock feature and like the handle that folds down, I don't really need either of those things because I use them strictly at home. I really prefer the older version. I wash my bottles fairly regularly. I discovered last night as I was filling up the new version and noticed the spout was dirty at the top, so I washed it with a dish soap and a brush for straws. I looked in it and around the outside to make sure there wasn't any more stuff. I noticed a couple black marks, so I scrubbed it again. There were still a couple small marks. I flipped on my phone light and got a good look at it. It appeared to be mold. Gross. I used a toothpick to try to get the spots off but it didn't work. The material the new version's spot is made from its a softer silicone than the previous version. I think that's what attracted the mold. I've had my previous version since 2016. I actually had two of them but the red one broke. I bought the new version in 2023. In the almost ten years of having the previous version, I haven't ever had a problem with mold. Just two years in and I have to get rid of the new version because of mold. Supply better material for the new version to prevent this from happening.

This water bottle is terrible!! Anytime I drive with it in my car and open it to take a drink, it shoots everywhere!! Gets all over my seats, the dash, and all over my clothes. It has ruined 2 shirts and a pair of pants. It gets everywhere. It's very irritating. I've NEVER had any other type of bottle do this no matter what I was drinking. It doesn't matter what's inside, juice, soda, water, it shoots everywhere.

Do not buy! If the bottle tilts a little, then air pressure forms and water sprays everywhere randomly. I have even unscrewed the lid to release the air pressure and water still leaks out, got water all over my car/desk/myself!

I appreciate how quickly I can open the drinking spout and close it again while I'm driving and not having to worry about the spills

I love these bottles and have used them for years! I have over the years had the various issues stated in other reviews! All except the mold issue! I have never seen mold in my bottles! Maybe it’s because my husband runs them through the dishwasher every day. As far as leaks go it’s all about straw placement and temperature. If the star is not placed correctly then the bottle leaks or you have too much air mixed into what you are drinking. If you keep them closed and the temperature rises quickly then you may get sprayed. I have a dry mouth issues so I am constantly drinking something! I have used this brand of water bottle as far back as when the ones with the screw in straw were available years ago. I have to say the screw in straws were the best ones I have but even with those I have had from leaking to getting sprayed by whatever is in my bottle! The reason I rate these bottles and this brand so highly is due to the alternative bottles I have tried. I have tried many and they just wear out quickly or grow moldy even though they are washed daily! So over a long period of time I have found these to be the best option for long term use. I keep several in stock for when the old ones get too worn out to be used anymore. I just recently got rid of the last ones with screw in straws because they wore out and replaced them with these models which have been around for years! That is why I know it’s been years since the last of the screw in straws were available. I do know that these bottles last for years! I carry them around everywhere. My doctors even know they are mine if I accidentally leave one at their office. They usually call and I just tell them to dump the contents, rinse if they want to and I will come back and get them during office hours! They have been for me the most economical option for a bottle due to their longevity! You can find cheaper ones but in the long run they will not last nor stay clean!
