The ConvaTec SUR-FIT Natura® Durahesive® Convex Skin Barrier with Mold-to-Fit Opening and Tape Collar is designed for secure, reliable protection and comfort in ostomy care. As part of the SUR-FIT Natura® two-piece system, it uses a plastic coupling ring that provides audible “clicks” to confirm secure pouch attachment. Durahesive® skin barriers are formulated for people whose stoma output is mostly liquid. Unlike traditional skin barriers, Durahesive® barriers swell—called the “turtlenecking” effect—to better protect the stoma and surrounding skin. This mold-to-fit barrier requires no cutting, allowing easy customization for a snug fit around stomas ranging from 7/8" to 1¼". The convex shape provides extra support and a secure seal for recessed or flush stomas. Combined with an acrylic tape collar, this barrier offers dependable adhesion and comfort throughout daily activities.
