Amazing cookie book - perfect gift for the holidays!
I absolutely LOVE this cookbook from the NYT! Ever year, the NYT has an incredible cookie spread for the holidays, and I’ve always wanted all of those fantastic cookies available all in one space. This is the perfect gift for an avid baker for the holidays. My favorite cookies thus far have been the (1) Seeded Chocolate Chip Cookies (I took these to a dinner party and everyone raved – they are lighter than your typical chocolate chip cookie because of the crispy seeds and much healthier!, (2) Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies (perfect for a holiday cookie party swap or a cookie box, spicy and chewy), (3) Lemon Bars with Olive Oil and Salt (love the use of the olive oil, makes it unique and a little more fruity). The book is organized by cookie type, including Chocolate Chip Cookies (so many types!!), Nostalgic Classics, Fun Fruity & Tart, Colorful and Crafty, Spiced and Spicy, For the Chocolate Lovers, Nuts for Nuts, and Your New Holiday Faves. The color photographs are just stunning! Ten Speed Press provided me with a free copy of this book; the opinions are my own.

This book delivers, featuring 100 cookie recipes from some of my favorite bakers and writers, including Yossy Arefi, Melissa Clark, and Dorie Greenspan. Inside, you’ll find everything from tried-and-true favorites (there are 13 different versions of the chocolate chip cookie!) to inventive, flavor-forward creations. It’s organized into delightfully themed chapters like Stunning Showstoppers, Cookies to Woo Your Boo, Flavor Combinations I Didn’t Know I Needed, and The Best Part of Waking Up…Is Cookies. I couldn’t wait to dive in and started with the Chewy Lemon-Rosemary Cookies and Millionaire’s Shortbread—both easy to follow recipes and absolutely delicious.
