Q: Can these be mounted outside of window frame?
A: Yes, they can be mounted inside or outside the window frame.

Q: How do these hang. I just ordered and received them & there are no directions or hardware.

A: Absolutely, the installation brackets included can be used for both inside and outside mounting.

Q: Can you hang this with a tension rod?
A: No, but these do come with their own mounting brackets.

Q: What is the opacity or visual transmittance of these blinds? "Light Filtering" seems like an industry term that means literally nothing.
A: Dear Chris. This fabric blocks more than 80% of sunlight and you can't see throught this fabric from either side. The industry range for light filtering is between 60%-90%.

Q: what sizes are there
A: We have two sizes available. The sizes are 36”x 72” and 48” x 72”. Each width can be cut/sized at home with up to 18 inches (9 inches each side). Therefore, the full width range is 18” – 48”.

Q: can you see through these
A: Hi glory, No, you cannot see through these. They offer good privacy protection. Light filtering just allows more light to filter in the room. Whereas, Room Darkening or Blackout removes almost all the light from filtering into the room.

Q: Can the top end be lowered to keep top of window unblocked when desired?
A: Hi Bawara, This is not a "Top-Down Bottom-Up" shade as you seem to be describing. However, it can be installed lowered if you want to leave the top part of the window open. You could if you want to hang it from any desired height in order to let the top window area be unblocked. It would be rather unusual to do this but it could be done.
