Stable
This is the stable step that I needed. Its length, width, and adjustable heights are perfect for my workouts. I was using a very unstable step stool before, making due with what I had. I do not regret spending a little bit of money to invest in this piece of workout equipment!

Great physical therapy at home
Needed to continue with pbysical therapy while traveling. Works well. Takes a load of 300 plus pounds. Sturdy. I still have someone by when I use for balance safety. Our trips are in the car. Can easily pull out at night as part of my nightly routine.

difficult to adjust the height, once set to 9 inches
difficult to adjust the height. once the feet click into place at maximum height 9 inch, it will take a long , long tool to reach the release clips, way up inside . ( i have never been able to re-adjust the height ,...forever at 9 inches ) stair stepping , a budget stair master . to increase stair stepping intensity hold 2 dumbels arms extened downwards. i use Two 12 pound dumbels ( 24 pounds total ) choose the weight appropriate for you. as another excercise, i do over head presses using the above dumbels to simulate mountain climbing ( both Pressed up at the same time as i am stepping up ) and back down to chest height . i rotate stepping. right leg first, for 20 steps, then left leg first , for 20 steps or for however many steps you want to do . watch a movie while stepping .

It doesn't slide. It's safe
I love doing a lot of exercise with this super cute padded step. Even though it is the lowest level from the ground, it looks easy, actually the process of movement will be very tiring, I can swap jump up and down, it is still stable, no sliding, which makes me feel very reassured.

Crappy product
This is an awful product. The plastic edges made of a cheap plastic about as thick as a paper plate are higher than the legs so they drag on the floor. Besides making an awful sound like finger nail scratching on the blackboard, it chipped the first week. Returned it and bought a different brand.

The product is a sturdy hard plastic. The adjustments for height are not intuitive. There were no instructions included in the package. I can figure out 5" and 7" settings; however, no clue how to raise to 9:.

Not a full size step
Reviews made this sound like a full sized gym step for workouts. This thing is very tiny. It's more of a step stool- not useful for working out or doing step workouts at all.

Should Come with Instructions
It took some problem-solving ability to figure out how to obtain the separate 7" level. Definitely should come with some sort of picture diagram or instructions. Not everybody has a clever husband. (I was sure I was missing a pair of risers.) It also would be good to have a handle for picking it up and moving it around; maybe on one side it, but not on the end where it would interfere with the risers. Finally, the risers seem to be a kind of cheap plastic, but the step itself feels sturdy, and I feel safe when I step on it. It will be good for my purpose.

The heights are 5,7 and 9. I'm 76. I would order the one that is 4,6 and 8.
